Finally got around to seeing Thor. And...I LOVED it!

I originally wanted to go to the cinema to see Thor, but never got around to it. After weeks of stalking the RedBox at my local grocery store, I finally got my hands on a copy. And well, what can I say? I LOVED it!

I loved everything about it. The story line progressed smoothly, the music was excellent, the special effects were great. I found myself really liking Loki's character for some strange reason.

Anyway, this is not going to be a long drawn out review. Just wanted to tell you guys I liked it. Waaaaay better than Captain America by the way.

My ranking for the 4 movies:

1./2. The Incredible Hulk/Thor (I really can't decide which one I liked better. I loved them both)
3. Ironman
4. Captain America

Phase 1 are mostly better than phase 2 -mo.

Why do people wait to see these films? Don't they know they end up being in the top three films of the year every year for a reason?

reply

I just saw this movie about a week ago, and now that I have, I absolutely ADORE Loki (and this was long after I saw The Avengers)!

This is exactly why they show it on FX every week!

I just watched this for the first time and... wow! I loved it. It might be my favorite of all the MCU films thus far.

I had put off watching it for years because I didn't think it would appeal to me. But actually that was the film's strength. This is not the kind of material I usually watch, so I found the story and the world they presented to be extremely interesting, and a huge breath of fresh air compared to the typical CBM fare.

It has the best tone and balance between seriousness and humor for all the MCU films thus far. There were jokes but they didn't hit you over the head with them, it was more subtle like the X-Men films. I found the characters very charismatic as well. I mean I can't say the story is the best out of all these great movies, but I enjoyed Thor as much as any of the others.

What's not to love? Welcome to the party.

The humor was indeed a breath of fresh air in between the action and the serious parts. Subtle and good. My favorite line has to be "Base, we've got Xena, Jackie Chan and Robin Hood." when two agents of SHIELD notice Thor's friends marching on the street.

Just watched it and really enjoyed it.

It's a garbage movie for idiots.

If you're looking for a superhero bash stuff movie, this isn't it.
This does tell a wonderful tale of redemption.

This isn't Wall Street-this is Hell. We have a little something called integrity-Crowley

reply

Marvel is way beyond most "superhero bash stuff" and that's why they are the leaders and best.

Jamie Alexander or Hayley Atwell or Cobie Smulders or Emily VanCamp or Ming-Na Wen or Chloe Bennet or Adrianne Palicki or Gwyneth Paltrow or Scarlett Johansson or Leslie Bibb or Natalie Portman or Kat Dennings or Karen Gillan or Lyndsy Fonseca or Evangeline Lilly or I just can't make up my mind.

Damn... Marvel knows how to cast!!!!!!!!!
