No, America is nothing like a 3rd world country. Therefor it's even worse, because it does happen there and more then you think. And we are buying clothes from people that use sweatshops and Illigals, foreigners/refugees, big and small brands, everyone, and not only with clothes.
Since they got involved in countries like Afghanistan, the Taliban may have been terrorists, but they were against farmers growing fields full with poppies to make heroïn and now that the Taliban are almost driven out, the business is booming and it's cheap and America and Europe are getting flushed with cheap and very good heroïn, wich will be used to make big bucks for a lot of high officials and a big drugproblem among all our people and not just Americans. For politicians it's all about control, making money in other countries for oil, drugs, clothes, cellphones and even blood diamonds (eventhough it happens in Africa, where children are used in their armies and ofcause in the diamondindustry (see movie Blood Diamond with DiCaprio for instance, eventhough it wasn't truthful enough), but America is still buying these diamonds and probebly not just you all. But I'm getting all of track, but when I read posts like yours, I get a little angry. I know that there are many good citizens and over all you're just as good as all the other big countries but you're sure not a good example for the next generation. Too selfish and trying to make a buck off someone elses fortune or even misfortune and it's happening more and more, not to mention what kind of message we're sending to the youth of today. I just hope that Obama wins and starts a big stink in the White House to keep people moving to a better place then we were the last 8 years under the presedentie of Bush Jr. w3ho was even worse then his father. His way of adressing problems and solidarity, he rather ignores everything instead of finding a solution. But I can go on for a while if I had too.....
