At the end of the movie, when the water shoots up out of the ground, Meryl Streep says something to her daughter. Does anyone know what she says? For some reason the sound is distorted and my wife has watched that scene over and over again on the DVR trying to figure it out. Thanks!
shareShe sais its Afrodite. If you pay attencion in the beginning of the movie they talk about the fountain of love of afrodite and when the water comes from the floor in the end of the movie and everybodys kissing and hugging she says its afrodite.
shareShe yells out Aphrodite. Earlier in the movie one of the characters (I think Sophie) mentions that the island was allegedly the site of Aphrodite's fountain, and that drinking from the fountain was supposed to bring lovers happiness or something like that. Having the water break through means not only love for the characters, but also will bring the tourists in, ending Donna's financial troubles.
