obvious arson and then drives her car into a lake with a girl inside while following the cops back to the station?
I'm pretty sure the judge/jury will not buy the "my daughter was a demon!" defense

Nope. She can easily say it is an accident and she lost the girl to it.

If the movie continued a little more and showed us Zellweger going to prison and making an overall reckoning of what that girl accomplish, it would be an 8 stars movie, but they rushed it at the end with some bad CGI, they almost wasted it
