I've never seen a movie with her but I thought her performance in Jack Reacher stood out, and by that i mean it was terrible. Massive overacting on her part, all her reactions looked fake and it seemed like she didn't know whether to play this role for real or comedy (overdramatization of lines).
Anyone with similar impressions?

I agree, I first saw her in Doom and wasn't a fan. The way she yelled in the elevator was a little weird too
shareBy far her best performance was in Gone Girl. She did excellent in that. The other movies that she's been in that I've seen, she's never really left a strong impression one way or the other.
shareShe's great in An Education and Gone Girl. I think in Jack Reacher, the problem is her American accent. It's pretty obvious she's faking the accent and it sounded off. I think it affected her performance negatively.

Haters gonna hate
I didn't think the actress was as bad (though she ain't no Kathy Bates) as the character. Everything Reacher picks up on she was completely clueless about. I understand that she wouldn't notice everything that was out of place, but c'mon. Apparently the Pennsylvania Bar requires little more than a pulse.
