thought it was a chick flick
BOY I WA SSURPRISED
shareIt sort of was one, until the chick’s head exploded...
It's a good movie and basically a post-modern retelling of "Shane"
shareClose but no cigar, big chief.
It’s a modern adaptation of “The Man with No Name”.
TheCaretaker
That's not a movie AND Shane preceded the character portrayed Clint Eastwood. Enjoy your ceegar
shareI know it’s not a movie.
I stated that it was an adaptation of “The Man with No Name”
That character has been in several movies and there is a link to High Plains Drifter. Which is a moot subject.
I’ll take your word that Shane preceded this character. But how is that relevant? If a writer is picking a movie or character from the past for inspiration, then it’s not prerequisite that a character or movie must be from the longer timeline.
They could have picked a movie from the mid 80s. And Shane is nothing like The Man with No Name. Shane is like a regular hero. He’s a bit of love struck douche.
The Man with No Name is the anti hero. The driver from Drive is the anti hero. And he doesn’t have a name.
TheCaretaker
No, no, no this is a mid-century modern reconstruction of The Searchers.
sharesaw it in theaters and was thinking this is a weird flick, then the violence.
shareI actually think this is kind of a chick flick. I mean, it's something of a female fantasy, this troubled sociopath swooping into this woman's life. Not all girl fantasies are walks in the park and rose pedal baths. It's certainly not your typical gritty thriller, there's a feminine touch to it. Something for everybody. Great movie.
shareI thought it was an action movie. Until damn near the entire movie moved in slow motion and I fell asleep.
