Just finished watching the final episode. One thing that kind of bothers me is when intelligent characters do stupid things.
Hannah is a wanted fugitive and Deb/Dexter are harboring her. Hannah is hanging out at the beach and they are calling her "Hannah." Shouldn't hiding a fugitive 101 be dye her hair, wear a wig, use a fake name, or wear a veil or something so she doesn't stick out?
I finished watching the show this morning what do people have against season 8 i'm not understanding it? When Deb dies i found that to be extremely unsettling I didn't expect it and i thought at the end dexter was going to take his boat into the storm and die then we find out he's still alive on some island all alone.... how else should it have panned out lol?

I've been told that the show got worse in the final seasons. I just finished watching it and have to say I totally disagree. I really like the last season. One thing that caught my attention. He drops Deb into the ocean with no preparation whatsoever. He didn't weigh her down or puncture the body to let gas escape. Wouldn't her body eventually bob to the surface? If that happened, since they found his boat debris wouldn't they find her?
shareThe sixth season was the low point of the series, IMHO (except for the cliffhanger season finale). Main problem with the eighth season was that they jammed too much stuff in it, there were ideas and plotlines for several seasons. And also the lumberjack thingy in the end. But in general I liked the last season, it certainly was better than the sixth.
shareThere were times - like the stuff you point out - where they were just phoning it in near the end. I'm not one of those "Everything after season 4 sucks" people, but there's a lot of characters being stupid in season 8
