shareI think Young Adult with Charlize Theron shares similar veins as this, only it's a lot darker than Broken English.
Also, in a strange way, this reminds me of a modern day telling of two movies adapted from Jane Austen novels: Persuasion and Pride & Prejudice. And to that end also Bridget Jones' Diary.
YA is awesome but verrry different from this IMO.

Lost in Translation, The Wait (not similar story lines, but another breathtaking film), 2 Days in Paris, and I'd also recommend another Parker Posey film "Clockwatchers".
