Sandler has started this new thing where he thinks he's hot. The Zohan has him, after going to a trainer and nutritionist I'm sure, prancing around showing his arms and acting like a stud. In this movie he's "Mr. February" and is a chick magnet. I just don't believe it.

I agree; but to be fair, the great Bette Davis once played a young socialite with whom every man in the movie was smitten in Mr. Skeffington, fully aware that she was not the raving beauty that the role dictated, but she acted as haughty and entitled as if she were gorgeous.
That being said, Mr. Sandler is no Bette Davis in the acting dept.
**P.S. Daivs's leading man in the title role was Claude Rains, a man who was never conventionally handsome himself, but whom a lot of women (and some men) even today found had a certain hotness about him (as some online erotic fan fiction proves.)
And in that department Sandler doesn't measure up either.

It's a HUGE double standard!
If there's an unattractive man with hot women all over him, it bothers people and almost makes the down right ANGRY, and people say stuff like "Why the hell would any hot woman wanna be with him?"
BUT if there's an unattractive woman with good-looking men all over her people usually don't say anything.
I mean why do ALL the men want Olive Oyl in Popeye? LOL
And also in gay couples like a lot of times there will be a unattractive butch lesbian with a hot girl or there will be a good looking gay guy with an unattractive guy and that doesn't seem to bother people either.
BUT it's the ultimate sin for an unattractive or plain guy to be with a hot girl. I'm not sure why really.
It's a lot more common the other way around, that's why. It'a tiresome.
I remember all the "oh puhleez" articles that came out when Winona Ryder was cast as his wife. When Kyle Chandler was cast as Joan Cusack's boyfriend on her short-lived sitcom, the whole show became about that.

LOL. Okay, so far we have a cartoon character and a character from a 68 year-old film--hardly a trend. Whereas on the hot gal/average-to-below-average man side we have, um, the majority of movies. Please.
I think he's pretty good looking. I guess it comes down to taste at the end of the day. He's not conventionally handsome, but he has got a certain charm that makes him attractive. Maybe it's his humor.

That and the girls in some of his movies are so much younger than he is. Jessica Biel was born the same year as me, so she would have been like 25 when this was made and Sandler was in his early 40s. Hell of an age difference.
There were 20 years between my aunt and uncle and 15 years between my grandparents.
I just don't see why people gripe about stuff like this, I mean, hell, we live in a culture nowdays that supposedly accepts and embraces all different types of relationships, men with men, women with women, black person with a white person, etc things that YEARS ago would have been considered out of the question, BUT we still hold on to certain "hang-ups", such as 2 people in a relationship MUST be the same age with no more than a 2 or 3 year age difference, an unattractive guy MUST be with a plain, unattractive woman, the man MUST be taller than the woman, if we see a woman who's taller than her boyfriend it pisses us off and we throw insults.
I just don't get it! Why can't we just accept whatever type of relationship 2 grown consenting adults choose to be in, like we accept the gay thing, the race thing and most other relationships and just throw out whats left of the few hang-ups that still remain?
Well don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those people who freak about age difference, I have just noticed that in a lot of movies (particularly with Jessica Biel) the leading lady is often signifigantly younger, it seems a little unrealistic to me that's all.
Not gripping about it either. BUT you certainly can see in recent Sandler films he's playing the womanizer who's with each film is with younger and younger women. His movies are stupid enough they can get away with it but it's currently leaning on self-parody. Like when Sean Connery did that non-official Bond movie, he was in his late 50s, early 60s and was shirtless next to hot 20 year old males and the film asked the audience to buy the hot women on the ship would go for HIM.
Sandler's kinda reaching that point. Watch the trailer for his next film "Just Go With It". where he's a superb excellent womanizer. Until he meets the girl of his dreams (she was 22 when they shot it). Of course he'll settle for the woman his age in the end....who is Jennifer Aniston.
Oh well. People pay to see these films. I just catch them on TV 3 or 4 years after they came out.
I don't know. In terms of people you would know, I look a lot like a mix between Bradley Cooper and Ryan Reynolds, so I assume I'm a pretty good looking dude. My wife looks like a cross between Catherine Zeta-Jones and Drew Barrymore, so she is pretty good looking(I think she is one of the hottest girls in the world). ANYWAYS, her One free pass, is Adam Sandler. So if she ever gets a chance to sleep with him I'm supposed to be ok with it, haha. Just fyi, my free pass is Drew Barrymore...told you I think my wife is one of the hottest in the world, heh, even my cheat looks like her :)
