Am I the Only One Who Hates Kyle?

I really liked this show during the first season when the mystery of Kyle's origins were being unraveled. Then I slowly came to realize that the plot and the supporting cast are what make this show. Kyle is a dull, flat character. He's an unfaltering "do-gooder" who always seems to say the perfect thing, which is unrealistic to the point of being annoying. He's able to accomplish almost everything he sets out to do with ease. No one can get the best of Kyle, and it's boring to watch any conflict on the show because we know how it ends - with Kyle on top. It's boring to watch a Superman with no Kryptonite to balance the scales. It seems that every scene with Kyle in it is intended to make him seem as "dreamy" as possible so that teenage girls will swoon.

I'm on season 3, and I feel like throwing something at my computer monitor every time Kyle opens his mouth. He reminds me of a five year old who's too simple-minded to see the grey in this world.

I LOVE Kyle, I love how his story life started out, in season two and three he behaves more like other teens but the fourth season showed that he was learning more and more about the negative side of human. With his determination to protect his friends and family he looked like he was going bad. But sadly we didn't get to see what becomes of him thanks to whoever decided to pull the plug on this.

No, you are not the only one. There are other fools like you.

If you are a young person and yes, male, you probably saw it the way you state. This show being on ABC Family means most adults didn't watch it. I found it later somewhere else and I am watching it and find it very enjoyable. The fact some don't get it makes me wonder? The character, Kyle, was a blank slate when they found him. He is not worldly and learns as he goes along. He is suddenly thrust into a life almost grown up that he knows nothing about. He isn't a do-gooder, he is naive because he has to learn how to fit into society. The actor does a great job with the character and you see the same thing in the character of Jesse. They don't understand emotions and social interactions. It reminded me of autistic people who have this same problem. I have to take it as either not following the storyline or not understanding the subtle nuances of the show, not to mention all the ups and downs of being a teenager on top of everything else.

I love Kyle but I love Jessi character more. She's just a human and a bad ass who makes mistakes and want to be good. Her character likes mine in a lot of ways. I really relate to her.
