Best Episode?

I love this episode, and the fact that they made it into a movie. Then end of the episode sets up a movie before people even thought about it.

And a great line:

"Khan Noonien Singh : [pushes her away] Go. Or stay, but do it because it is what you *wish* to do!"

Great line.

Agree, It's an excellent episode.

There are three levels of Star Trek episodes.

1. The excellent ones, like "City On The Edge Of Forever"

2. The good ones like "Space Seed"

3. The bad ones like "Catspaw" or "I. Mudd"

I liked Space Seed, but I never thought it was worth making a movie of, but I am weird I guess because I didn't like any of the movies, though the Whale Movie and the Borg movies were entertaining and slightly brought back the feeling of Star Trek.

I've been pretty impressed with some of the YouTube Star Trek tribute channels, in particular Star Trek Continues.

Yes, some of the original shows, like Mudd, were pretty weak.

I thought Wrath of Kahn (Movie ST II) was a fantastic movie, much better than the "whale movie" (ST IV).

I'll have to check out the tribute channels.

I'm not gaga over COTEOF, but concede I am in the minority. I would add SS to your first category.

I liked Space Seed as a Star Trek episode, but not as a movie.
Ricardo Montalban was outfitted like a fluffy designer teddy bear
when they were supposed to be dying on that planet with nothing
to eat. Then there was no way he had any kind of superior body
or mind. No offense to gay people but that movie just seemed so
gay to me, not in a good way.

I remember this episode well but it's not on my list of favourites. Which happens to be, in no particular order:
The way to Eden
All our yesterdays
Requiem for Methuselah
The trouble with Tribbles
Assignment Earth
Mudd’s Women
The Devil in the dark
The city on the edge of forever

I just found out recently that Roddenberry wanted to spin off Assignment Earth into a sequel series.

Devil In the Dark was a really good on.
Jim, I'm a doctor, not a bricklayer.

It was a great episode. I didn't care for the movie either. It could have been done so much better using this episode as the template rather than departing from it.
