Honestly, talk about a charisma vacuum. There's just nothing to him. And it didn't help that he slipped in and out of his Australian accent.

He's playing a soldier and he actually looks like one.

Him being a little plain means that his Avatar is where he comes alive.

I think the dynamic worked.

A story device is to have someone who isn't that interesting and all the colorful things happen around them.

I agree. He really wasn't very interesting in this or Terminator Salvation. Those were the only movies I saw with him. His film career has pretty well stopped now. Unless Cameron asks him to do Avatar 2.

I like Worthington, I'm biased though cause I'm an Aussie. But I've been a fan ever since Gettin' Square, great movie.
