I was living in NYC in 1988 and the last thing clubs were playing was Blondie.
Who was the music consultant for this movie? Roll with It by Steve Winwood, Def Leppard, It Takes Two by Rob Base, George Michael ruled the airwaves that year.

Also, when they talk about opening a new club in Manhattan Bobby talks about having an exclusive "disco floor". Any nightclub still doing disco in 1988 wouldn't stay in business too long. I did wonder if the date got botched at the beginning and it should have read 1978.
