Caught this on TV while channel surfing and figured I'd stick around to see what these Hostel movies are all about. Boy... talk about a terrible movie. Not 'terrible' in the sense of its quality, but 'terrible' by its mere existence. Who needs this kind of crap? I love horror movies, but this isn't horror, it's just high budget snuff/torture porn to give sick people sick ideas.

There are sick and vile people the human species could stand to lose. Movies are no different.

I find John Carpenters Halloween to be extremely useful around the house.

@zds79: that was hilarious.

I just saw it on TV last night, and would agree, "useless" is a good word for it - movies are supposed to be "used" for entertainment or to drive some kind of emotional impact into the viewer - this movie did none of those things. I think I gave it a 3/10.

I thought the first one was decent enough, and very tense at times, but #2 was horrible, lacked any intensity, and the turn of events in the end sequence were just ludicrous.

It's just another case of a very above average horror movie getting a very sub-par sequel...it happens.

I agree as well, it isn't a horror film. It is just torture for the sake of torture.

That scene wth Heather is just sick. And it certainly didn't help her career...LOL.

If you consider this movie "snuff porn" which i believe is a integrated version of Snuff Film and Torture porn.. nice one... then I would really like to see your reactions to films like "A serbian film" "August Underground" and so many more LOL put them on youtube.

(Ps. I thought all three of these films were rubbish but THIS is certainly not "snuff porn")

I noticed its on scifi tonight. I haven't watched it. I did notice that more than 50% of the voters gave it a better than average rating (around 30 thousand people). Says something about society?? Incidentally why did you watch it?

Just because you didn't like it does not mean others didn't. personally I loved it, now a movie that OI think was useless.... Howard the duck - but, hey that is just my opionion...
