Great performance by Sandler, apart from ONE scene

Just wanted to see if there were any other people who agreed with me on this. I personally thought that Cheadle was impeccable in his role and I thought that Sandler was extremely good, powerful and emotional in this role and although I maybe wouldnt say oscar award role I would have said he deserved maybe a nomination or at least some proper recognition for this role.

But although I thought he was brilliant, there was only ONE scene which I thought he was bad in and they should have redone or something. It was in the shrink's waiting room when he finally talked about his daughters and wife to Cheadle. It was a very emotional scene and I saw Sandler trying hard to portray that but I honestly didnt feel the emotion nor the feeling in that scene. Anyone else understand what I mean ?

He was great and that was one of the best scenes in the film.

Actually that scene, almost made me cry

His performance were as forced and hollow as his "strong" scene in 'Click'. You people are gullible.

This thread is just another example of how different we all are as people. I couldn't disagree more. I thought the scene was very well done, I actually get emotional with him when I see it.

I loved every bit of this movie!

I just finished watching this movie and it could've been a lot better. The mistake was casting Sandler. The plot was good, but he can't act. He attempted to do a drama, but it didn't work. He sounds like a little kid when he talks. He does in every movie he is in. He wasn't able to turn that off for this movie. It had good potential, but Sandler ruined it. I hope he gets another Razzie nomination for this.

This was the only thing that put me off with Sandler's performance. I kept hearing Happy Gilmore. Especially during one particular outburst. (forget which scene it was) His best performance, no doubt, but I was surprised he couldn't do better than that little-kid voice that he is so well known for.

I thought the scene where he opens up to Alan (Cheadle) in the waiting room was extraordinary.

Agree to disagree, i think it's the best scene in the whole film. Never would i have thought to shed tears over Adam Sandler's character and performance
