I thought he did a great job. His portayal of a man with ptsd was better than cooper's in American sniper imo. Sandler should of gotten nominated for this.

I was blown away by his acting. It was very emotional and really moved me.

I agree, a very moving portrayal of a man who has lost all those he loved and is suffering mental illness. The movie balances humour and seriousness perfectly.

There are good Sandler movies Punch, Drunk Love and Bad Ones (Little Nicky) .. but this is his best ever.

Adam's best acting to date.. this movie is a must see.

Just like Ben Stiller in "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty", outstanding performance
from a comedian i consider a C-actor not worth much attention.

Definitely. I loved Reign Over Me and I also loved Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

Both of them are the strongest movies of those two comedians.

Not many comedians have good dramas, and it's rare for them to have more than one (e.g., Robin Williams).

I haven't seen American Sniper, but this is my favorite Adam Sandler film. He was incredible in it. Would love to see him in more stuff like this. The guy has loads of talent. Just doesn't seem to use it very often.

Yes, this was his best in my opinion. I don't care for his comedic roles. They're pretty much all the same.

It for sure was... Sanlder has his place in Hollywood normally attributed by his Comedies that seem to be consistently put out, some are good and some are awful (little Nicky)

This being you pretty much know Adam sandlers Characters in each of his movies,, he is usually wealthy and marries to either Salma Hayek or some hot chick.. which is a great start to any comedy.. LOL

Anyhow in regards to Dramatic performance he nails it here. and shows his acting ability.. I would like to see more roles for Sandler like this as he can deliver.
