Easily the worst movie ever made... no contest

Obviously, a bunch of stoned idiots, and likely including Adam Sandler, sat around talking about the concept for this and the grass made it a much funnier idea than it was.

Then, and this is the important part, somehow they all agreed that they would ad-lib the entire movie. "We'll get all the funniest people and we'll just wing it". It's obvious from the outtakes that they didn't use any script as every session was completely different.

The only problem was, the grass is the only reason the idea, or the actors chosen seemed funny.

This is truly the worst POS ever to be put on celuloid. It's an embarrassment to all aspiring film-makers. The simple fact that this got made belittles the entire industry.

Poor Ernest Borgnine, that he had to be involved with this project. An Academy Award winner should not be trashed like this.

Steve Zahn has shown some true acting ability in other projects. But here, he is wasted. That A**hole from "Superbad" (I'm not even going to go to the trouble of looking up his name) is simply and completely without any skills at all. He thinks he's funny, he's not.

Only a stoned person could find this amusing (beyond the first 5 minutes which showed promise). And if you did, shame on you for wasting your life on drugs. This should be blatant wake-up call that drugs will mess you up for life.

The amazing part is that through the entire process, nobody, when straight, didn't point out that this wasn't working as planned. Perhaps someone did but it was too expensive to simply write-off. And they likely knew enough stoners would get wasted and spend $8 on this.

I have never rated a movie below a 3 as I can always find something redeeming in a film. Some actor, trying despite a bad script... some writer who did well but fell victim to a bad director. But this was a zero, plain and simple.

But this movie is totally without merit of any kind. Every single aspect of this movie is junk. And the idea of trying to ad-lib a movie would work, but only if you choose funny people. The ones in this film (that have had some success with good scripts) are proof that an actor is only as good as the material he is delivering.

What total crap!

Sure it is the one of teh worst comedies ever made. I agree. Amen

reply

I completely agree. Whoever wrote this movie should be banned from writing a screenplay ever again. I watched about half of it thinking it would get better but it was horrible. I like most of the actors in they are all funny but not in this movie. I don't think I ever laughed once, I don't ever remember a comedy when I didn't even laugh once. Just a terrible movie.

reply

But that was the problem... no one wrote this movie! They tried to ad-lib for 90 minutes.

This movie was sh**, what a pathetic waste of talent. I can't believe Borgnine and Joe Don Baker got involved in this mess.

Anybody considering watching this, go rent "Grandma's Boy" instead, you'll thank me later.

Hey now don't bash pot smokers! I don't speak for the rest of the weed heads to visit this site.....but this movie sucked something awful

I actually stopped watching it 40 minutes in so I could check baseball scores.

well, I lasted 35 mins before I turned it off. I love silly humour and sometimes even dumb jokes when they're the right dumb jokes. I laughed all the way through Tropic Thunder. But this... this piece of crap....did they all just turn up and decide to make a movie with no script? How do films like this get greenlighted?

And saying this film appeals to 12 yr olds and pot smokers is an insult to both. This film appeals to morons.

If you think this is the worst movie ever made, you're actually pretty lucky. You guys must've seen nothing but absolute masterpieces throughout your lives. No, I don't think this is a maserpiece by a long shot but I found this movie to be hilarious (which is rare b/c I normally can't stand screwball comedies such as pretty much anything Will Farrell or Vince Vaughn is in with the exception of Old School). I can think of a ton of worse movies that would qualify as "worst movie ever made".

You know I don't think it's a good movie by any means, in fact it is rather bad, but I still found alot of funny things in it. I put it in the category of so bad it's good, kinda like "Employee of the Month". But if you're really looking for the worst movie ever made, check out Adam Sandler's first lead role in a movie, "Goin Overboard". That is far and away the worst movie ever made.
