reply

I do,
I really liked the movie, and would definetely watch a sequel.

reply

I've been watching this page just to see if there were any chances of a sequel but so far came up with nil. Loved the first movie and would definitely support a sequel.

reply

I know I do!

I want a rehash that does the book justice.

reply

I do. I liked the movie also.

I wouldn't mind a sequel.. and the movie since it went so far from the book really has ALOT of new areas it COULD cover. We have the Paladins who hunt them down.. how about another group? keeping with the theme.. lets say Templars.. who recruit them for their own bad purposes.

Something.. I think we need a bit of a wider scope.. with 2 forces on the board pushing David into a corner.. with some REAL danger.. and.. c'mon.. seriously? make it LONGER than 90 minutes.. what a rip!!!!

The first movie wasn't bad.. but it felt like a MIDDLE chapter in a story..

reply

So much "this" that it hurts.

The film was awful compared to the books, to the point that I can't watch the film anymore.

The book doesn't have Paladins or other jumpers.

Its more a story of David's relationship with his abusive father and how that relationship affects David's relationships with others, instead of a "action movie" type of story.

I love the book, but I think the book would make for a boring movie. A movie doesn't have the time for the character development needed to do the book justice. However, I'd love to see a TV show based on the book. And the book makes a point of saying that the jumping looks like a cheesy old TV effect, so it wouldn't need to be a high budget TV show.

Of course there should be a sequel.

Ideally, it should be called Trouser.

And then to top of the trilogy... Mittens.

Hahahahahahahah

Man I laughed my ass off at this one.

reply

ABSOLUTELY!!!

When it ended I couldn't believe it was over! I wanted more, more, more. It was too short...

Agreed, I would watch both sequels...if they are in fact, planning it.

reply

this film would be wasted if no sequals came out

it has the potential to be good, the 1st was good but also built up sequals now they have to complete them properly

Yes, I like the film and would like to see another.
Its been on 3 times over the last few days that I know of and I watched it all 3 times. Plus I want to find out what happens to the two of them and what direction they chose to take, bad, corrupt, evil or good and will there be more 'little jumpers'?

reply

Yes! I definitely want a sequel! I'm surprised there's not one in the works yet. There is so much more that could be done with each character. And you know that Samuel Jackson makes it out of the grand canyon (?) alive.

reply

I want a sequel too. The movie was open-ended enough for a sequel. I want to know more about David's Mom and Sister. Is his sister also a Jumper?

reply

If his sister were a jumper she wouldn't have been living with his mother as she would've revealed her jumping ability around 5 years of age and her mother-being a paladin-would have to do something like she did with David. She demonstrates the willingness to hunt her own when she tells him she is giving him a head start.

Likely Scenarios:
1.) Roland has a cell phone and there is service in Grand Canyon.
2.) He probably has a tracking chip embedded like all Paladins do. Helicopter pickup coming soon?
3.) He only needs to climb up or down and he can walk out in about 3-5 days. Down means water. Up means no food or water.
4.) You know the JUMPER will check back on him out of mild curiosity and when he jumps back out Roland will ponce and piggy back out. Then he drops in him with the sharks...
5.) Scenario #4 but Roland pleads for mercy and the Jumper falls for it.

reply

Due to his world traveling, Roland's phone is likely a satellite phone that gets service anywhere.
