well, i didn't find this as groovy, and it doesn't have andre the giant, actually i find the "stagey" bit in the princess bride looks cool, while a lot of this feels over the top. the border bit in this reminded me of the scenario with the bundy's travelling to great britain in the several "married with children" episodes, and some of the settings and special effects close to the end reminded me of "the addams family". they lay the background music on quite heavy, don't they, while the tune during the end credits seems off as it's like a regular pop tune in a fantasy movie, and the make up on the three witches look a bit rough i found, by the way, what a great awesome performance by the witch's slave early on in the movie and the way she tricks the kid into laying a kiss right on her, michelle pfeiffer's part was neat too, and i like how her looks transforms like that, a lot of actors are hard to spot, like peter o'toole, this has to be one of his final roles i figure, i'm pretty sure that was him anyway, everyone is so made up, funny how ian mckellen, doing the narration, is actually credited first.

ive been longin so many days,
for your charmin face,
felt out of place since you went away,
from dreamland youve been gone,
under stars my head hangin low,
lonesome for much too long.
