This movie was meant to be taken with a grain of salt, which I did. I laughed like crazy.

Just because they are young and have a childlike innocent appearance doesn´t give them the freedom to mess everything up and get away with it.
Children are also humans, we also can laugh about them, if you don´t want them to be shot in movies or appear in movies then ban them from Real Life, if someone exists it can be in a movie, cope with it.

Obviously it is up to each person to fall on either side of this issue, but I absolutely loved this scene. I laugh out loud every single time at the poor hapless kids who are not just caught, but seemingly targetted, in this shootout. It's the kind of thing that nobody would dare do but that Postal does. It's ace. :)
I think it does say a lot that it is inserted there for pure comical effect, and that it shows a certain view upon morality when you view the fact that some are really offended by such a blatantly overdone scene, further added to by the grief-mongering of the modern media you get after that. Intelligent it is. Funny, it REALLY is.

shareMight have been disturbing if the killings were graphic but they weren't and the whole movie was one big joke. Wasn't just one kid killed lol, like half a dozen got shot and it was pretty funny because it was totally pointless to add that to the movie. Something out of the blue.
