Before you watch this

If you're anything like me, you will get excited to see this because of the high rating, accessibility via netflix, and of course Jared Leto. Here are all the reasons why you SHOULDNT waste your time:

1) The story is awful and not original in the sense that it takes many ideas from other movies and meshes them into some sort of plot about love/time/consequences/fantasy. Its the melting pot of all movies and will leave you wondering why its rated so high
2) God awful soundtrack. The music is repetitive and stupid. Doesn't set any mood to any scenes. You'll enjoy this more on mute with subtitles.
3) Terrible cinematography. The director/producers/blame whoever, tried and fail miserably to be unique/creative/artistic and you'll just get dizzy and aggravated.
4) The acting in general is not good. Jared Leto actually has a very limited roll and his character is nothing to get excited about.

There's better options on Netflix and I certainly would not waste money to see this.

Even the haters say this movie has amazing cinematography. Surprised you threw that one in there. Leads me to conclude that you're not as great in film study as you think you are.

agreed, this is a terrible movie. I couldn't watch past the first 20 minutes.

We all enjoy the maddness 'cuz we know we're gonna fade away

If there is one thing I can't handle, it's someone who quits a complex movie after twenty minutes and then condemns the entire movie as unworthy junk. Imagine quitting "2001:A SPACE ODDESY" after twenty minutes. You would have no clue what was to come. Obviously, some movies you can make that call, things like a Paul Blart Security guard isn't going to have Anything deep to say. There will be no surprises there. When you are dealing with a movie like CLOUD ATLAS, THE THIN RED LINE, or MR NOBODY you have to pay attention , and dare I say, even watch it twice to truly get the depth and beauty portrayed. I thought MR NOBODY, which I first watched yesterday, was beautiful and elegant. I loved the soundtrack and all the acting. Nemo at 15, was a great actor! Jared Leto was touching and heartbreaking looking for Anna. I thought this was a near perfect movie and its a damn shame more people haven't seen it, and even worse that a thread like this will dissuade others from trying it. Bold, non-linear storytelling has a place in American cinema. There are people, like me, who greatly enjoy it, and it is a very legitimate form of expression.
Not everybody needs, or wants, a movie that moves from A to B to C to the end where it ties everything up in a nice neat package. I like loose endings, the ones that make you think, to ponder the possibilities. If you don't, that's perfectly fine. But don't condemn a movie simply because it challenges you.

I guess, the audiences of Mr Nobody and, for ex., Man of Steel (or Guardians of the Galaxy) do not normally mix up. To each his own. To me Mr Nobody (which I consider one of the best films I've ever seen in the last 10 years), and to, well, 'homines vulgares' 'Guardians...' I just wish those who are too dumb or emotionally challenged to like this film keep away from discussing it, for their arguments aren't even funny.

I agree with you 100%. It is nonsense even to post a review after watching just twenty minutes.

This movie is not for everyone. But what is? What possibly could be?

This movie is a riff on love, life, the universe and everything. Never condemn a meal on the first few mouthfuls. You only reveal your shallow ignorance.

Jared does old Nemo. The change is so brutal that is difficult to identify him. Didn't you notice that?
