Where does this film rank on your all-time list?

Just curious. I'm sure for many people it doesn't even register, but on my "list" I'd say this is easily a top 10, perhaps even a top five.

At the very bottom together with Twilight.

The owls are not what they seem.

reply

I very generously gave it a 1/10 and would never consider watching it again.

reply

I would rank it as high up as top-5000 films I've seen. Gave it a 4/10. Nice cinematography but what a waste of time.

reply

Have you actually watched 5000 films?

reply

Probably not. I was just trying to say in a funny way that I didn't really care for it.

reply

I completely understand.

reply

It is not (yet) in my top 100 but I did give it a 9/10. And I haven't given out a 10/10 since 2003 so that is not bad. A very beautiful and poetic film that I expect to grow on me after watching it more often.

reply

so far below dead last that it breaks through to another universe of awful!

Loved it, but it's #5 on my list of best Malik movies.

Behind his first four (Badlands to New World).

reply

Nowhere fucking near it.

reply

It would make my Top 50. It's my favourite Malick film.

reply

He's hit-and-miss for me. The New World or The Thin Red Line are probably my favourites. Haven't seen A Hidden Life or Knight of Cups though.
