If only Llewyn discovered the tracking device earlier...
He could have erased his trail much sooner. He could've framed someone else and escape with the money.

shareAnd then there would've been no movie at all😫

They had the information from his truck.
Semper Contendere Propter Amoram et Formam
And why did he finally discover it hidden in a stack of crisp, new, $1 bills ? Why would this denomination even be in a bag supposedly containing over 2 mil ?
shareThe answer is easy. Consider it your money and you want to track it. Would you rather cut holes in a stack or ones or one hundreds?
He killed sixteen Czechoslovakians. Guy was an interior decorator.
It's not easy. There were no holes " cut " in the money. He found the device in the middle of a stack of $1 bills. He laid them out, separately. They were crisp, clean, new. You obviously have no idea idea how heavy 2mil is to lug around, hence the largest bills possible.
shareThinking you need to watch that scene again. There are CLEARLY square holes cut into the center of those $1 bills to create a space for the tracking device.
shareThey practically made Chigurh the Terminator and wrote as many excuses as possible to have the character succeed. It was a joke.

by ralanmace »I just pulled up that that scene, froze frame. You can clearly see a square/rectangular hole cut into the dollar bills.

Ok, guys, I will concede that maybe I blinked during that scene and missed the holes. What stood out to me was him pulling out the device and immediately afterward seeing several fully intact, crisp, $1 bills sprawled out.
What didn't make sense to me at the time was the denomination of the bills but upon further reflection,I will also concede to micirisi that the logic of hiding the transmitter in a dummy stack of $1 bills makes sense.
But this gives further credence to my argument concerning the weight of the bag. What argument?
And you won the hair-splitting argument of the controversial " holes. "
I can see a civil disagreement is futile with you.
Now, now. There's no need for you to be a sore loser.

Inger, you must rot, because the times are rotten.

Meltdown? This coming from someone who has a posting history replete with rabid diatribes? That's even MORE rich 'cause the OCD pot just can't stop calling the kettle black!
shareYou can cry all you want about black kettles, the fact remains you stalked me to get my attention.
Congratulations, you now have my attention.

One of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces.
I'm also wondering how Anton knew to track Moss to Del Rio. Once he reached the outskirts is when his receiver first started responding to the signal.
The last scene I remember prior to this is Anton calling various people from L's phone bill.
Was there something significant to Moss about Del Rio that compelled Anton to go there ?
Yes, Moss's phone bill showed numerous calls placed to the same Del Rio number. It showed calls to Odessa (CJ to her mom) and the Del Rio number (Moss calling an associate). Chigurh tries Odessa, finds out he's not there, which leaves the Del Rio connection. Later we see Moss try to reach someone from his motel room in Del Rio, but no one picks up so he goes on to other things.
shareWow, you must have eyes like an eagle to spot all that on his phone bill! I was lucky just to spot his name before the scene shifted.
I do remember Moss trying to call someone he couldn't get through to.
Thanx for the input. Another question cleared up.
2 million dollars in hundreds weighs 44 pounds. 20,000 bills. Each bill weighs 1 gram. There could have been other denominations in there besides the pack of ones containing the tracking device. But I believe we see mainly hundreds.
Your ballpark figure of the net weight is accurate.
However, " we see mainly hundreds " because the government discontinued printing higher denominations after the 30's!

Manipulative behavior is symptomatic of psychosis.
And you had the gall to label another member as Captain Obvious....mr. transparent.
You're just butt hurt because he knows how to deliver facts without being a condescending prick like you, Ms. Forum Stalker. This is the thread that ignited your psycho forum stalking on me. Oh boohoo, someone poked you with "you won the argument with you" and you turn psycho and stalk that member? And how did that turn out for you?
Turns out Miss Whinehammer is a gutless coward who hates the taste of his own medicine. Psycho stalkers like whinehammer throw baby tantrums if you stalk them back. So pathetic, ha.

Looks to me like you're the one on one of your typical, repetitive, face-saving rants....still playing that worn out 'victim card.'
Just couldn't let sleeping dogs lie, huh piss ant ?
I always liked that word. It's a matter of choice but I like the spelling as one word, pissant.
Yeah, it does have a succinctness about it, doesn't it ? 😁
shareYeah, it does have a succinctness about it, doesn't it ?LOL! And yet in his last post, whinehammer was crying, "Sniff-sniff....why can't you let sleeping dogs lie? waaaaaaa!"
Hackneyed, obfuscating and juvenile as always.
There's never anything new under the sun with this troll.
Says the stalker troll who knows he was being a condescending prick in this thread and changed his original meltdown posts a month later.

Waaaaaaaaa! I thought I was being clever by stalking you! I didn't know you would stalk me back! Don't you know us forum stalkers are gutless cowards, we hate a dose of our medicine! NOW STOP IT! Waaaaaaaa!
To me a little stalking gets the blood going. Especially on a Saturday morning.
shareThis is obviously the most critical weakness in the plot. He never bothered to check the entirety of the contents of the satchel? Seriously? Who would do that? Wouldn't you want to inventory all of it to make sure there wasn't something at the bottom? Wouldn't you perhaps put it in a backpack or duffel bag so that, should the rightful owner(s) of the case see you, they wouldn't immediately recognize it?
shareHe didn't get much time. He arrived home late at night, and he didn't want to do an accounting of the money with his wife there. From there, he's basically too occupied with running from the Mexicans and Chigurh
