What was the point of the car crash?

As far as I can tell the car crash Anton gets into near the end serves no narrative purpose. His character vanishes from the movie after that, and the last we see of this memorable character is him just walking away. What was the point?

I always saw it that it was show how Anton was absolutely unstoppable. He was able to comit mass murder in pretty much every environment and get away with it completely undetected. Even in a police station and even in a downtown office building in the middle of a buisness meeting can he murder someone and not et caught. Llewellyn couldn’t stop him, Ed couldn’t stop him, the police couldn’t stop him, the cartel couldn’t stop him. When he gets into the car accident and walks away undetected, it was like saying not even God could stop him.

I think the point plays to the tagline of the movie which is "There are no clean getaways". Even Anton doesn't get away completely clean as he disappears at the end.

"Look at that fuuuuckin' bone!"

To show that Anton was screwed. There was no way he could fix a broken arm like that on his own, and was probably being hunted by law enforcement. He had no where to go.
