...when you spend all your money on a A-list, Oscar-winning cast but forget to hire a decent writer to add some life to your story. You can't take an excellent Brit mini-series and condense it into 2 hours and still try to maintain of bunch of extra characters and side-plots that go nowhere. This wasn't a bad film at all,,,but it sure wasn't engaging either.

I found it very engaging - watching it 7 years later. When I first saw it, I thought, 'Meh.' I'm a little more willing to be patient these days.

Engaging is exactly the word that came to mind for me, along with taut. Pretty damn good underrated movie, imo.

I thought it was a good throwback to those '70s thrillers like Three Days of the Condor or All the President's Men.
