I'd say Snoop, Ludacris, Eminem, Dr. Dre, and yes, Lil Wayne. What it is, Always Strapped is a great song among others.

LOl at lil wayne, *beep*

But anyways, Ice Cube, plain and simple.

Probably The Game.

I say Lil Wayne. I would breakdown and cry if anything ever happened that n!gga. Like my siggy says, Lil Wayne is my Jesus. And do you know how big his fanbase is? If he were to get killed, the whole WORLD would go up in flames.

¡Lil Wayne is my Jesus!

Ice Cube easily.

Snoop easily.

Nas easily.

Jay z maybe, even though hes not on the same level as tupac or biggie but has sold a load of records :S

Eminem easily.

First of all 2 Pac and Biggie didn't "get" their status, it was created after they died by Suge and Puffy respectively. They were simply made legends to sell more records. Now, I don't want to belittle what those two guys have achieved but the amount of attention they got after they died was ridiculous and completely disproportionate when compared to the overall quality of their music. It simply wasn't all that it's cranked up to be. Both artists had great songs, good songs, well above average songs and weak as sh*t songs so they didn't really stand out because of that. What made them legends were the PR machines behind them.

But, to stick with the subject:
Eminem or Snoop

And on a more personal angle:
Chuck D
Ice T
Big Daddy Kane

But you already see the difference here: you already have to be a established mainstream popstar to be celebrity enough to mean something to enough people to make yourself legendary. If Chuck, Ice or Kane died, only the die hard hiphop fans would notice it. 3/4 of the fans of one of these Legends mentioned above wouldn't give a fugh about them.

Right now no one deserves it.
Sure, there are some undergound MCs that are as good or better than Pac and Biggie, but they haven't accomplished as much. And the ones that are "on top" are mostly wack.

Oh you mad cuz I'm stylin on you

Snoop or Dre. Unfortunately Lil Wayne would reach legendary status just because hes so popular. And Ice Cube is a fackin joke now. Are We Done Yet? Are We There Yet? Its a damn shame.
