Had Biggie and Tupac lived. Would they have sold out?

Would Biggie still try to keep his rhymes real the way he did when he was 22 or become like Jay Z and LL Cool J and live a movie star's life.

Would 2pac try actual singing instead of rhyming like how Diddy and Akon does now a days. Or would he still representing Thug Life.

I like to think had they lived, there wouldn't be the Lil Wayne and T-pain garbage hip hop there is now.

2pac and biggie are the reason why you have who you have out today. That includes jay-z,t-pain,and lil wayne.Jay-z's whole career is a model of biggies life what jay-z did in the x amount of years he was out. Biggie would of eventually done had he lived.Tupac before he died talked about getting into politics and movies doing more acting roles. For a man who could record 3 to 4 songs a day he wouldn't need to put out as many albums. Also with his kind of consistency no matter how old he got he could still keep up with the times.Thats something just about every rapper out now cant pull off.
Pac's been dead for 16 yrs and hes still relevent his work is timeless like marvin gayes. One thing this generation is lacking they dont understand or get making quality peices of work.Pac and biggie also told stories that all people could relate to.Rap was more of a art form back then, than it is now if pac and biggie were alive. There would be none of the rappers mentioned above they would exist on a very small scale.T-pain,really? lil waynes whole image and style is tupac's.It's well known that pac didn't like people jacking his style so there would of been no way a lil wayne would/could exist.
For example in 94 a up and coming dmx was having issues getting signed because of his thuggish look.Had pac not passed we would of never have heard of dmx or ja rule, tupac and biggie set a high mark.Biggie probably would of gotten into the business end of music.Even if he stayed making music it would be hott, genius like that doesn't fade.Hip hop would be alot better now because back then rap had elites it was made up of the best of the best.Tupac did sing his raps most rappers just talk rapping.Tupac sang it out he was singing it from his gut ice cube the same thing.
Hip hop today is more democratic back then it was more of a elitists game you either had it or you didn't.

movies. Buy a Picasso"

Tupac totally sold out, I mean showing up at Coachella in ghost form like that? For what, a quick buck? He died so long ago, what is he desperate for work?

Growing up and selling out are 2 completely different things. Many 90s rappers evolved into adults and their music style reflects that. There's nothing wrong with ditching the thug mentality and persona as you elevate yourself out of the slums. How many people have done dumb things while they were in their teens and early 20s that they don't do by the time they are in their late 30? Most music reflects ones conditions and emotions. Hard to rap about street life when you are no longer in the streets and not facing the everyday struggle anymore. Just because street music allowed for the breakthrough it doesn't' mean that they have to continue to make street music. You adapt and change with the times....thats not selling out.
