wow, i cant remember the last time i was so uninested in a movie.maybe its because i avoid most of the hollywood cliches and concentrate on quality films, but this one seemed like something quite original and new.wrong! i think i was more interested in the feeling and emotions of john matrix from commando, than of the main characters from this crappy experiment.the visuals were fine (nothing extraordinary, really) but the storyline seemed like it was written by a 10 year old: "ok lets go", "we have to save him", "he would do the same for you", etc. etc. etc. - the dialogue was so dull, my head hurts even thinking about it, and the whole storyline was just a big crappy rip-off.

considering that i only watch quality films, this was my worst movie experience of 2009.

stupid post. not even close to the worst movie of 2009. statements like that make your post auto fail.

i would watch this 10 times before i would watch transformers 2 again.

I agree the movie sucked. Everything 9 did in the movie seemed so pointless:

1. 9 tried to save 2 but ends up killing him with the talisman.

2. 9 tries goes out to destroy the brain which we later find out from 6, shouldn't be destroyed because 1, 2, 8 are still trapped. (At this point I thought the film was implying that 1, 2, and 8 can still be saved.

3. The machine ends up being destroyed anyways.

4. I thought 1, 2, 5, 6 and 8 would be saved, but it turns out, they just had to have their souls released.

5. It's a bit pointless because ultimately this movie is about 9 creating a big mess and we get to watch for an hour of 9 cleaning it all up and getting his friends killed along the way.

I was hoping for a better story.

Agreed, except it probably wasn't the "worst" of 2009 because that was probably some straight-to-DVD garbage we never saw.

I understand where you're coming from. To me, 9 felt rushed. Many things were happening too fast at the same time, and most of them were cliches. I swear this movie had the same scene done like 5 times... you know, those scenes where 9 goes somewhere and boom! big monster/beast chases the puppets blah, blah... But I will say I liked the ending and its message.

Too bad there's not much more to say about it.

Worst of 2009? Hardly.

-but I didn't enjoy it at all. Maybe I didn't "get" it, but it was dark, slow, depressing, boring. - pretty much everything I don't want in my escapist entertainment.

I just watched it. I actually enjoyed it to a large degree. I didn't think it was a great plot, but this movie was more about the animation than anything else. It had great style and, as someone pointed out, it was devoid of stuffed animals.

Worst movie of 2009? Nope. Not by far.

I loved that movie, and it's not surprising to see that those people spreading the hate didn't get the ending nor other parts of the story.
