Which puupet would you consider yourself closer to?

(7) To Defend Us...

(5) To Guide Us...

(3) To Define Us...

(4) To Teach Us...

(6) To Lead Us...

(9) To Save Us.

(8) To Guard Us...

(2) To Inspire Us...

(1) To Protect Us..

This is from the tagline's of the movie.

My question is "Which puppet would you consider yourself closer to?"

That was the purpose of the different dolls? I didn't see any difference between the dolls, seemed like all the same to me, except for the old one and the big one. I mostly didn't give a living beep wether they lived or died (Actually I would have prefered many of them killed). So I say.. Screw those dolls! I need better role models than that to compare myself with!

So, honestly, you couldn't tell between 7, who was a fearless warrior, and 5, who was scared of everything? No wonder you didn't like it; I'm surprised you are able to enjoy any movie at all.

Mine is 7 and 9.

this is a movie with such an intelligence-insulting story and idiotic ending that only a puppet of tv advertising could feel close to it.

Sorry for being harsh if the op is a 12 yo, in that case, please see some other movies quickly so you can find a favorite that is actually good.

To guard is to make you toe the line and can work against your interests as is seen in the film.

To defend is to take a more active part in fighting for your interests which again is demonstrated in the film as being the more positive and active.

Although these are similar in intent they should not be confused as the same thing as is demonstrated in the results.

Doctor-T, you don't seem to understand the concept of opinions. Sure does suck that every human has free-will and their own personal likes/dislikes, doesn't it? Makes things so much more confusing! Sheesh! I find it interesting that you inadvertently insult the intelligence of those who may have enjoyed the movie when you seem to have absolutely no feasible evidence for your large claims and clearly seem to lack a basic understanding of what entertainment is, and the various forms it comes in; one of which is commonly referred to as "mindless" entertainment.

I would love to hear your movie recommendations as I wonder how many of them are movies that film historians, critics, or the Academy have TOLD you are "good". I wonder if you have any guilty pleasures and if they are as "bad" as you claim this film to be, yet you enjoy them nonetheless every once in a while.

Anywho...

I'd say I'm most certainly closest to 6. Creative, artistic, and "uneven" lol.

People are being a bit harsh when it comes to this movie, true it wasnt that good and the dialogue was especially hackneyed in parts but it did have a decent atmosphere and there was a lot of promise here.

About those 9 definition taglines though:

(7) To Defend Us...

(8) To Guard Us...

(1) To Protect Us..

I dont mean to be cruel here but those are pretty much the same thing. Protect can be considered slightly different if you want to go into deep meanings and how a leader can protect through his ruling/leading but not his actions.

But 7&8 are the same thing, I found that a bit lazy. I think it would be more appropriate for 7 to be defined as 'to fight for us'.

This is movie just tries to be something it's not. It's neither profound or insightful. Like many people have touched up on:

"To Guard us", "To Protect us" and "To Defend us" are all practically the same.

Also, although 6 was the one who advised 9 that he will find his answers in the first room, I would hardly call 6 a leader. His tagline of "To Lead us" is rather far-fetched as it was clear from the film that 1 was the leader; which was most likely due to seniority.

I'm guessing this movie is forcing this 9 different tag-lines to sell depth, but really, it's not as multi-faceted as it's made out to be.
