Mr. Nice Guy in my opinion has his best movie rolls as the antagonist. This one was on par with his pompus, over-inflated character in Woody Allens 'Crimes and Misdemeanors'.

Alda seemed to have cornered the market for slimeballs when he was outstanding as an up standing, smart alec, goofy good guy in MASH for so many years.
Its that man again!!
Alan Alda was a very convincing bad guy in this film, delivered his lines well and was easy to hate from the beginning. I really enjoyed seeing him and Eddie Murphy for that matter deliver some memorable work when I hadn't seen much from them that I liked in awhile. I applaud them for this work.
