both got 7.1/10 on IMDB

So to those who have seen both, whats better i have posted this on both films pages to make sure its not just a one sided affair!

i personally liked crank more, it was equally cheesey and at times a little bit worse, but there were more moments i laughed at and it had less or possibly no horrible one liners.

crank had a better storyline opportunity that was not executed as well as it could have been. both films used some interesting camera work but crank to me wins on the editing, the snip shots and general weirdness

shoot em up was a very artsy and almost gun version of a oriental martial arts film with all the over the top kicks and punches. but had a incrediblly stupid (though i guess more original) story again poorly executed and too many rubbish jokes.

for me... Crack wins 6/10
shoot em up 4/10

Shoot 'Em Up >>>>>>> Crank. Not close.

I'm a huge Jason Statham fan and I really love these sorts of movies, but Crank was a let down for me. It showed a lot of potential and I'll definitely be keeping an eye what its directors do in the future, but Shoot 'Em Up was superb. Shoot 'Em Up is what Crank wanted to be. Maybe next time they'll get they'll get there, although the fact that they're going straight into "Crank 2" isn't promising to me.

I liked Crank, but while watchin Shoot 'em up I was laughing my ass off all the time :D The whole movie is just insane and I loved it for that

Easy. Shoot 'Em Up wins by a mile. 9/10

No Way. Crank is light years better then this movie. Shoot Em Up was enjoyable enough, but like many before me have said, the political nonsense spoiled the fun and for me at least, Paul Giamatti just didn't cut it as a bad guy.

Crank is much better, the one liners in shoot em up are poor

Both were awesome....I liked the plot in Crank better but the action in this movie was better. I really can't choose one. Both get a 9 rating from me.

Crap I think they're both freaking awesome. Crank is fast paced but I do love Jason Statham. But I love Clive Owen tooo.

It's a close call for me.

Jason Statham is really good in Crank, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Both Paul Giamatti and Clive Owen give brilliantly tongue in cheek performances in Shoot 'em up.

Crank is a fast paced adrenaline rush, but a tad mainstream for my tastes.

Shoot 'em up had me grinning from ear to ear throughout the movie.

I loved it more!

Neither one was "good", exactly, but they both did exactly what they set out to do. That makes them great in their own odd way. In the end, I'd have to go with Shoot 'Em Up. So far, Clive Owen has never let me down. Then again, I haven't seen all his movies...

I enjoyed Shoot'em Up much more than Crank. Much funnier, especially Giamatti's role. Enjoyed him as a baddie.

I loved both movies, but I liked crank better. It had a more engaging story. Shoot 'em up had good action but a weaker story.

I saw both, prefer Shoot 'Em Up over Crank. Shoot 'Em Up was even MORE over the top then Crank (if that's possible).
