Who is your least favourite character?

In the past we've talked about our favourite characters. But when it comes to disllikes who have you really hated that you couldn't bare to watch them on screen at all. Sometimes we just dislike a character but are sometimes unaware why we are not sure why we dislike them. SPN has had a huge array of actors pass through its doors, they have come into our hearts, and many we have embraced. But then others who we can't stand, for what ever reason.

So whom have you really disliked, hated, or can't abide. Or even love to hate! Fire away...

reply

One I didn't even enjoy hating was Asmodeus ....He's the one that took over after Crowley died and drained Gabriel of his grace. I fast toward through all his scenes.
Others would be Claire, Lady Toni Befell and Nick..

Uriel , Zechariah and Gordon and Lucifer were characters that made hating fun..Alistair and Yellow eyes made evil real.

reply

Wait, you dislike Claire too? Ha, same! I don't know if it was the writing, the performance or maybe both but I could not stand her. I found her so annoying.

Preferred Sheriffs Jody & Donna. They were both freaking awesome. Would not mind a show focusing on just the two of them.

reply

Donna first off was a character I just couldn't warm too. But then as her character grew, something changed in me about her. I think also seeing her at conventions for real, it gave me a chance to get to know the real her and changed my mind. I love Donna and Jodi together both on and off screen, they have a magical friendship.

I'm on my first ever rewatch & I'm gonna go with Bella Talbot. God, I forgot how much I disliked her. Wanted her to die the most horrible death.

I honestly liked Gordon a million times more. He was an actual, formidable foe. Love me some good antagonists & he was definitely one.

Also, his death was freaking epic. What a kill by Sam

Charlie Bradbury. Hands down. She was an insufferable Mary Sue. She wasn't too bad when she was introduced, though even there, everyone was bowled over by her, she's the best hacker ever, and that season's Big Bad said she was so unique that unlike everyone else, she couldn't be cloned and replaced.

But when she reappeared later... OMG it was awful. She’s a lesbian who seems to have literally everyone around her (men included) fall in love with her either platonically or romantically -- which maybe I could buy if she had Helen of Troy good looks, but... no, not remotely. Felicia Day is honestly not a pretty woman. I don't think her personality was that magnetic either. She magically becomes a deadshot marksman. She's taught herself to be a hunter, and is so awesome at it she doesn't need a partner . "Dark Charlie" singlehandedly won the war for Oz. She becomes the Winchesters' surrogate sister, and when she gets killed, Dean goes off on a vengeful rampage.

I remember over on the days of IMDb Charlie was nicknamed Robbie Thompsons Mary Sue, the posts never seemed to stop moaning about her. At times I did sympathise with her like when she visited her mother in hospital for example. But I never got Charlie as the Winchester Sister.

As for Bella Talbot I must have been one of the few who did get her. I get why she made the deal with the demon because she was abused. I felt her ending was so very sad and the boys didn't help to save her. I think Bella did get a lot of flack sorry to say. She was sassy, and got away with winding Sam and Dean up particularly over the lottery cards that she stole and the rabbit foot. She was a master of disguise.

reply

Didn’t help to save her? How could they - like Dean said if she ad come to them sooner and not stolen the gun they might have been able to save her. Bitch of the bunch is they couldn’t as she ran her clock out.

reply

I really liked Castiel early on - say 1-5 - but gradually because of the constant Destiel push and Mishas pandering I found it harder and harder to separate the two and it kinda ruined or tarnished the character for me. If that makes sense.

Claire. Without a doubt. In fact Meg Donnelly’s portrayal of young Mary screams Claire Part 2 for me.

I liked Bella. I thought she was a good foil against the boys.

reply

There was talk of a spin-off involving Claire or Charlie I don't think some how that would have been that well received. I agree with you Alycat about Misha he was at his best during those earlier seasons. I loved Bella hence where my ID name originates from. Not many in the fandom liked her because she always got one over on the boys, but that's what made it exciting to watch. See what she would come up with next. Those scratch cards were one moment I just creased up laughing. Dean was so furious!

reply

Castiel. Very sad because I LOVED him in Season 4-6.

Just think he overstayed his welcome

reply

He honestly stopped being his own person & just turned into the Winchester's pet dog. Sad really.

Same with Crowley in my opinion. He was one of the best antagonists in the show. Then he was an on & off again villain but still an interesting character.

But it was like they just didn't know what to do with him after a while. His decisions were also infuriating. And his ending was anticlimactic af.

reply

Agree on Crowley. Just like w/Cas, Lucifer, and like many more started off great and overstayed their welcome. If Mark Shepard didn't leave the show, they would've dragged him along to the end as well. Really pisses me off they prematurely killed off Bobby only to drag along only to like you said make Cas into the pet dog, which he was.

I hate Seasons 14 and 15 so much

reply

I didn't even bother with season 14 & 15. Stopped at 13.

Show just became so infuriating to watch. Fighting Lucifer for the umpteenth just wasn't entertaining.

That's the thing with shows just not knowing when to call it quits, the story becomes repetitive & no one stays dead.

reply

Yes. This show never knew when to end. It had a second wind in Seasons 8 and 9. Some moments in 11,12,13 but those last two years were absolutely brutal and extremely repetitive, and don't even get me started on bringing people back from the dead.

And to top it off all the idiot fanboys are already clamoring for a revival. Like enough already it's over.

reply

I hated Lauren Cohen and Kate Cassidy when brought in their characters in season 3. Thats clearly corporate meddling in the show when executives thought the show needed to be sissied up. It's beyond stupid for a horror TV show.
