Question about SPN conventions stars.

so I was wondering how do they decide who to invite to these cons?
I always wonder why Alaina Huffman/Abaddon is still attending. Since she hasn't been on the show for so long.
This is also directed to Jake Abel/Adam, like he was in 2 episodes haha. (I love him, it's been 84 years, still no mention about Adam HA.) Like what's there to talk about for him. And also Matthew Cohen/Young John. (2,5 episodes LOL)
