Well, what did we think of S14 E14?

Thoughts ...........

I was going to post but hesitated because I know not everyone sees it when I do. And I didn't want to spoil it. But here goes.

At first I thought it was going to be just another monster of the week but the last half of the show was the best so far. I've been wondering how they were going to deal with Michael being "locked up" in Dean's head and Dean's fatalistic view on how to get rid of him. When Dean was knocked unconscious had a feeling something was going to happen and the realization when he woke up that Michael was gone really was painful to watch. Did not guess that Michael would possess Rowena because I thought I might be Maggie. The battle between her and Jack was epic. Loved it when Jack said I am the son of Lucifer, a hunter and a Winchester. When he destroyed Michael and obtained his grace was so glad that he was back to his type of normal, wings and everything. So yes I did like this episode. Was sorry that Maggie got killed.

Hated the ending. This (assuming he really is dead) is the ending our BIG BAD MICHAEL the BADDEST BAD ASS ARCHANGEL WHO DEFEATED LUCIFER... gets? So Michael discards his ONE TRUE VESSEL like so much trash. Please. Thanks Dabb for handing over Jensen/Deans storyline to anyone else. I’m surprised Maggie didn’t get a turn. That was a craptastic finish for DeanMichael. I have little to no interest in the baton being handed off to Jack. I’m still hoping the Malok Box is revisited. There is an episode upcoming titled Jack In The Box? I’d like to see that Michael has survived, is in Jack and Dean challenges him to possess him again ala the priest in The Exorcist. I wonder if Jack will continue to get sicker based on Michaels stolen grace. If they have done away with Michael like Dean said to Walt and Roy - Imma gonna be pissed. It looks like they may be setting things up for Lucifer to come back - then you better bring back Deans favorite Archangel! Damn it.

So Snake Boy can see the future but didn’t see that machete ending? I thought the Gorgon was weak with a bunch of gore to cover how thinly written the character really was. And why? Why would he throw everyone around, leave Dean in a near coma and then waltz out? Seriously? These are the men who have been dogging his every step! Plus how yummy would Winchester stew be with a side of Angel Food cake? Such a waste of a perfect opportunity dude!

Yessssss. I agree with everything you said.
I don't mind Jack, but they always give him this super corny episodes and lines. I rolled my eyes during the last few minutes.
And this is also one the reasons I didn't liked episode 14.08 Byzantium, which everyone else seems to love.

Don't get me started on Castiel. I don't know what his storyline is anymore.

I don't think this is it for Michael. We still have about six more episodes to go before the season ends. Jack is going to have some problems down the road doing what he did. The episode title "Jack in the Box" sounds like that's going to be his fate (being dumped in the ocean).

Not sure what the deal was with the snake guy. I know he couldn't see angels coming, but what about Sam? Surely he knew about that one. Or did he forget to eat eyeballs that day? I don't know, I was more interested in the other plot.

LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not gonna lie, I was kind of looking forward to seeing what would have happened if Rowena would have stayed that way for a while. But A: I was NOT expecting that and B: Jack, that's what I'm talking about! Way to step out of the shadows and handle that bad boy! So, now we wait to see what happens....

But then what if Michael decides to leave Jack, where will that leave him? Michael has been vessel hopping for a while now, and long term can Jack house him and keep him locked up?

reply

Michael is dead. Jack just used his grace to recharge his own batteries.

reply

I thought so too. It's basically a recharge. The AU Michael is gone for good.

In episode Holy Terror, Cas took that guys grace, I think his name was Theo, he didn't become him. Also when Gadreel left some of his grace in Sam after he left, Sam didn't have any Gadreel like qualities left. And one more example, when Lucifer "took" Jack's grace it just powered him up.

There's nothing to think about. Jack literally said: "Michael is dead."

Jack says a lot of things. He’s what? Two? Not exactly a seasoned individual. As crafty as Michael is I could see him planning for an altercation between the two. But I also know what a crappy showrunner Dabb is and how he has this knack for taking a decent storyline and crapping all over it. So my moneys on Dabb. Sorry Jensen.

I enjoyed it. Even though my electricity went out 4 times while watching it.
Surprised, the Michael storyline concluded and offed him that quickly...and like that.
I like Jack and all, but he kinda feels like a loose canon and/or a dragging chain for the show. I don't know what they have planned for him, since episode 14.19 is titled - Jack in the Box, is he going to lose it and have to be dealt with? Or is it a play on words..

I didn't like the hunters hanging out in the bunker all the time, but that doesn't mean I wanted them to get killed off. I also cant say I didn't see that coming. However, I didn't expect Rowena to live, because the promos made it look like she was going to get killed...or was she? After all "Sam is supposed to kill her"

For the next episode, it says Dean and Jack see an old friend...I wonder who that could be???? I also noticed promotional photos for Peace of Mind haven't been released yet, but Don't Go in the Woods has..
