Nick/Lucifer - Unhuman Nature episode SPOILERS

There seems to be a huge liking to the idea of Nick and Lucifer on this board, but I'm not. I'd prefer a new villain than use a returning to the same recycling of Lucifer. I mean Michael is supposed to be to big bad this season and we've seen more Nick...

The fact that Nick is still alive is just confusing, frustrating, and an obvious ploy to keep Mark around (since the other Mark/Crowley left the show). Think about it...
In the end, the writers can do whatever they want, so that's the real answer why he's still around.

Now, Nick is killing people and crying/whining like a baby, "I need you!" to Lucifer. **eye roll** And he's resurrected in the empty (I'm guessing?) and like someone said, looked way too much like a Terminator rip off.

Meanwhile, Jack is dying and they cant save him. How is this happening? How about they have him healed from whatever magically made him better at the end of last season finale. He looked pretty injured and all better by this seasons beginning. What are they setting up here?

IMO the episode was a disappointment, because it was mostly Nick and Jack..not hunting. Some of the Dean/Jack moments were enjoyable and I guess it was nice to see an episode where they were just "home"...

Also, did all of the hunters that were living in the Bunker just move out?

I liked the Dean/Jack bonding moments in the episode, but the rest was disappointing. Especially the resurrection of Lucifer. When Jack did it with Cas, it was to show just how powerful Jack had been. Now, it turns out, anyone can do it.

Maybe the point here is that you can't just "kill evil" as easily as they thought. Sure, Michael and all of the monsters are 100% proof that evil still exists, but killing the Father of Lies appears to only happen on an Earthly plane in this sense. It looks like Lucifer was in the same place that Cas was at one point, so there is the potential for him to be brought back. I really was hoping that they would give him a much happier ending. But maybe what they are getting at is that when that kind of darkness takes a hold of you, it's hard to shake. Nick is definitely not as strong as Sam and Dean when it comes to fighting a demon possesion off, much less fighting off Lucifer. I would still like to see where this goes with Nick and not just for the sake of Mark sticking around. I think that I'll be okay with it as long as they can stay slightly more linear with this storyline

I just feel like this show is done quality wise when it comes to characters or relationships. It's kinda frustrating. Lucifer sucks beyond repair, I used to get excited at the prospect of him coming back, but what they ended up doing with him, I wish he had just stayed in the cage.

Ya know i was actually really excited to see Nick be a character without being possessed by the devil, i love the actor so for me it was a cool way to keep him around by keeping Nick alive after they killed Lucifer. But it just sucks that they're going right back to him being Lucifer after having him in just like 3 or 4 episodes as Nick.

Do we really need to go back to having Lucifer be the big bad? he was only dead for like 7 episodes ffs.

I have a strong feeling its all to do with J2 wanting more time off. We are reduced by three episodes this season, and I bet J2 have negotiated more time off work during episodes/filming so they don't have to work those longer hours. And I also think that brings in the factor that we lost Crowley, so they need to fill in the blanks and the time with Nick/Lucifer. It angers me that he's been made a regular, when Alex deserves that spot just as much. We have a lot of ends to tie up before next may, and a number feel it will be a race again to get to the finish.

I did enjoy a lot of the episode, seeing baby again was always a pleasure and the feel of the open road. I did however, feel the violence Nick was executing was a bit hard to stomach. Nailing hands to a cross and beating a man to death with a hamper on his skull. I get this show has had a violent streak, but that really was tough to watch. Mark is a superb actor, and never knock him for what he brings to this show, on a different level. He carry's Nick's breakdown so well. He is a seasoned actor and don't expect anything less of him.

I do agree about the other hunters like they've disappeared into thin air, not a hair or pin out of place like it used to be. Odd!. I also found it interesting how Dean was bonding with Jack after they had a heavy/rocky start it came good in the end. I would also love to know what is up with Dean, was I right in thinking Michael is still around? I did read earlier that Dean feels funny when he's around Jack? but then he has Gabe's Grace in him not Michael's?

I don’t understand why people are complaining over the violence/horror. It’s Supernatural - it’s supposed to be uncomfortable to watch. It’s not all kittens and puppies. I want to see darker now and again. Rather than vanilla and corny. Example being the NotSoBigBad Asmodeus. It’s funny though that Mark Pelligrinos Nick is actually more frightening than his Lucifer.

I get this AC, he's the Devil, and supposed to prove to us that he is dark, bad and nasty. But having read various articles from fans around the net, a number raised the same feelings that its something we'd not really seen before. Not to that degree it felt like another level. Mark has certainly gained some unpleasant remarks from the fandom concerning it. Sure we've had dark moments, we've had actors bludgeoned to death, but this was darker it was really creepy and I felt sick watching it feeling disturbed afterwards.

I have a feeling Lucifer will be key to making Jack better again despite being the reason he's in his current situation.

Since an Archangel can only heal another Archangel, this may be the direction they're going.
