We get it! In the 80s some people were racist, but why exaggerate it soooo much for sympathy! Like when chris and drew went missing and went to the police pretending they were white boys. And those 2 cops not arresting chris because they saw a car with 2 black kids instead. Chris' s ridiculously racist teacher ENOUGH!
I'm so very sorry that the realities of being African American bother you so much. Imagine how it must be for the people who actually have to live these realities. And the teacher being racist is not an exaggeration. I have a friend whose teacher, during a lecture on slavery, actually turned to her and said: "Your the little N-gger of our class." Be grateful that your biggest care in life is being able to sit around and bitch about not wanting to listen to other people's problems, rather than experience these problems yourself. Oh, and no one is asking for sympathy. What you need to have is empathy. But empathy is a higher emotion and some people simply lack the capacity for it, which sounds like the case with you. Check your privilege.
When I was 6 years old I (white) was called a n-gger by a black girl on our school bus. Stuck with me forever and I wasn't doing anything but sitting there minding my own business.
Too bad I missed this post nine years ago. But since you told some lies, and then finished with "check your privilege", I'll go ahead and respond anyway:
Watching this show, it's pretty obvious Chris Rock himself is extremely racist. Apparently every unpleasant thing in his childhood is the fault of white people and their racism. The guy has issues.
