How could they afford all the copyrighted music?
I know other shows, like supernatural, have had trouble getting the rights to similar music. Was the rest of the show just really cheap to produce or something?

shareThis show had a great soundtrack, whoever did the music know their stuff.
shareI think I'm right in saying that if the show isn't being released on DVD it's not so much of an issue cost wise?
Tour Of Duty was great for music on it's TV run but when it was released on VHS / DVD, it was all generic library music and it took a great deal away from the production of it all.
My Name is Earl was released on DVD all four seasons.
A good review of "Inside Out": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXC_205E3Og
That's one of the reasons MNIE is a great show. Even though it's about a bunch of poor people, the writing is top notch and they didn't scrimp on the music, even when reshowing it on Netflix. Class act all around.

Its not like the 'poor people' in the show are paying the music rights lol
Supernatural & Earl has the BEST soundtrack! I couldn't have picked the music better myself.
shareThis is part of the reason it was cancelled. The network cited an increasing budget because much of the show was shot on location and not on sets, and also because clearing the music became a big piece of the budget.
shareCould they not just have cut back on the music they used in later seasons?
If budget was the only reason that this show was discontinued, I'd happily drop some of the background music in order to save it.
