Surprisingly 'adult' show.

I'm currently on Season 1, Episode 5: "Rookies". So far this show has surprised me with how adult it is in terms of the dangers of war.

We see dozens of clones being killed on screen. And thousands being killed off screen with the ships being destroyed.

One clone is eaten alive, another is gunned down and then sacrifises himself to save his "brothers".

I'm not used to children's shows being this "adult" and I'm pleasently surprised.

So far, I'm really enjoying this.

This happens in the movies and they are marketed towards kids, but I agree. For an animated show, it is very violent. Clones are eaten alive, beheaded, exploded, shot, poisoned, zombified, etc.

Season 1 episode 20 is super analogous to what went on in Libya. There's a scene that reminds me of when Gaddafi was captured by Libyans.

I'm 34 and this is my favorite show on Netflix at the moment. I'm in season 3 episode 5 I think. Just an excellent show, even thou I'm not a SW "fan".

I hear ya! I'm 29. Funny how an animated show can appeal to grown ass men like that. Haha!

I'm on "Downfall of a Droid" at the moment. Not alot of time for watching cartoons lately :P But I'm definently going to continue watching this show!

This show gets really dark and violent.

It surprised me too. There's an annoying episode here and there (mainly because of the dumb Jar Jar hero formula) but the show is great.
I just finished watching the season 1 finale and I LOVED every second of it!

So true. In that respect, it's very similar to Batman: The Animated Series from the early 90's. I remember loving it as a kid, so I watched it again as an adult and I loved it just as much. Not alot of shows manage to do that.

I always thought just like the films have these different categories (Episodes I and VI are rather childish, Episode III is surprisingly dark), CW also has this thing going with different approach for different audience. Jar Jar episodes, young students going to that cave to find a crystal to build their lightsabers are pretty much for the kids. Most of the show I'd say is good for 14 - infinity. Then, there are really shocking arcs like Umbara and 66. I started watching it a couple years ago out of boredom, it was just playing in the background mostly. Then, during Umbara, I realized I was invested and a bit scared. Dang, this show gets very hard on you sometime.
