This movie has some of the worst and laziest One Liners of All Time.

It's truly sad and pathetic. I'd write them down but there were so many of them.

I am so serious. This is worse than Nacho Libre.

This film is awful and a disgrace to Sandler fans. Billy Madison was high when it produced this.

The script was written by 5th graders because the dialogue is stupid and the jokes aren't funny.

Keep in mind I loved Harold and Kumar.

Grandma's Boy was a waste of time and my life. I'm glad it bombed and unhappy it got a 16% on Rotten Tomatoes. It deserves a big fat Zero.

Plain horrible. Very surprised it got a 6.9 on here. Goes to show most of you couldn't recognize cheap lines from good lines if you had Woody Allen or Mel Brooks next to you.

I agree that this is one of the worst comedies of all-time. As I mentioned if you want to see virgins trumph and gets laughs and a story, go watch The 40-Year-Old Virgin, you will be glad you did.

P.S. The only redeeming factor in this movie is Linda Cardellini (although I hated the bleech job on her hair as I prefer her as a brunette) and even she could not save the movie.

I thought it sucked too.

And I'm the type of guy who loves comedies like Old School, Wedding Crashers, Dodgeball, 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Superbad, etc.

There just wasn't much talent in it. To be funny, acting skills help. It's tough to laugh when just about everybody in the movie is a bad actor and you say to yourself, "OK, this guy is just reading his lines right now and bites at acting."

Come on, like you never say a movie's so bad and called the actors terrible. i thought this movie had terrrrrible acting. doesn't mean the ACTORS are terrible, just that the acting in grandma's boy was *beep* it's like watching someone eating cardboard pizza. it's lame and idiotic. when i was watching the movie it seemed like it REALLY wanted videogamers to look cool just because they smoke pot, and make "witty" comments. no. that's...pretty lame. all in all, with the acting, and point of the movie, i still don't get why it's got such high rating for what it is.
i couldn't even finish the movie, even though i was close to.
btw, it IS easy to write a movie- if it's lame as *beep* like grandma's boy.

wow u guys need to lighten up. this movie was great!! greatest comedy? no. but pretty damn funny if ur a gamer and smoke pot (which some of them do since it has such great effects on games). and it makes these types of jobs fun as hell, but hardworking and satisfying. but i guess u either love it or hate the living sheet out of it like these previous posts did.

i agree...this movie was really great...i dont' smoke pot...and i'm not an adult yet, but this movie was terrific. if looking at the preview didn't make you think "well there's pot, gamers, and grandma's" then why the hell weren't you aware of what was gonna happen. personally i love the film XD

thats the funniest sh*t I've heard on here in a while.

First of all, since when did you need to be an adult to find a movie funny and be able to share your opinion about it. Second, what kind of 'real life' experience do you need to understand a stoner movie about video game testers. If anything, you want someone with VIDEO GAME experience... Probably someone who gets to play games a lot instead of going out and getting 'real life' experience. The movie does use some cheap gags and what not to be funny... but just because a gag has been used before doesnt mean you can't laugh at it again. I'm sure you've seen SOME comedy more than once and still laughed the second time around. I know I have and I'm an adult. By the way, I found this film very funny and have watched it several times with friends. I guess everyone has their own opinion on what's funny though.

PS. Stormrider57, maybe you should head on over to the Dora the Explorer message board. they might need someone who has experienced enough of real life to have a valid point of view to offer their opinion.

I totally agree, I just don't get, how can this GARBAGE get such a high score. And it's not really like I got anything against people who smoke pot, or I hate gamers, but come on, there was not a single "clever" joke in the whole thing, nor anything else that would make me like the movie at least slightly. Seriously, what's the average age of people voting this crap so high (no offence to young people, there are obviously lots of exceptions)? And btw I made it all the way through the movie expecting there would be still something that would justify the reasonably high score. Hm, there wasn't.

I disagree. I think this movie is amazing. Maybe it's because I grew up being a video game nerd. And my god, Dante has the best line delivery ever, definitely the funniest character in the movie.

No, it's not perfect and there are bad parts in the movie. But nearly every movie has flaws. And the fact that Adam Sandler wasn't a major part of this movie to me, means that Some of the regulars for his movie truly are hilarious people.

Nick Swardson is pretty damn funny too. "My roommates said they are gonna get me spinners, maybe a C.B. radio to talk to other car beds." It's not what he said, it's how he said it.

It's not oscar worthy but it's damn fine entertainment.... But much like anything Sandler is near, you either love it or absolutely hate it. I respect your guys' opinions, I can understand why you'd all not like this, but i do!

creepah, i've asked the same thing (about ages and ratings) in regards to lots of movies before. (although i love grandma's boy personally) when you click the score, it will break down avgs. for age groups/gender. and while grandma's boy rates higher with the younger crowd, it did pretty damn well with women in the 30's too.... i guess thats why its doing so well on the ratings. you got people who love it because they can relate to the smoking aspect, or the gaming aspect, or people who love jokes about car radios and silent handjobs... obviously not something for everyone, but i think the majority of people who take 30 seconds to see what the movie is about, and are still interested in watching it, will thoroughly enjoy the film.

I gave this movie a shot, loved Nick Swardson but Allen Covert is just a horrendous actor and I couldn't take any of his jokes seriously.

It kind of felt like hanging out with that guy who's really awkward. He makes terrible jokes and you give him a fake chuckle just so he'll stop.

And being an avid pot smoker, it seemed like they just had pot in the plot so they would seem cooler or something. I don't know, it didn't fit and you can tell some of those actors and writers know nothing about pot.

If you didn't like it, and have only seen it once, i would recommend you give it another look. When i first saw this movie, i thought it was stupid and unfunny. I watched a second time and it was hilarious, i feel it gets better every time.

I agree with the OP. This movie was atrocious. I watched this with some of my friends who got stoned and thought it would be good. We were all pretty pissed.
