Would YOU have gone back for the baby?

I love this movie and it's prob my fav remake of any horror film. When my grandfather and I (who pretty much got me into horror movies) were watching it, he said that if it was him, he wouldn't have gone for the baby and just cut the losses and tried to get to safety with the rest of the family. And as cold as that sounds I kinda feel the same way. I realize it wouldn't be much of a movie if they just left, but in a real life situation would you go back for a baby (not even knowing if it was still alive)?

THIS THREAD IS STUPID! Starts off with the dumbest question ever just for the sake of argument.

If it was my baby yes, otherwise probably not. Sounds selfish, but I probably would of died fighting anyways.

Any parent would have... Wouldn't give a **** who was out in that desert.

Not everyone has to be in a situation to know what they would do. I'm not a mother (and I'm 38 yrs old & have always wanted kids), but I know if I were, I would never leave my baby behind, no matter what. And for that matter, if it were my niece or nephew (who are 9 & 12 yrs. old), I would go back for them. No question about it.

any sane person would go back for their child. even give their life for their child.

I would get the hell out of there. lol

I wouldn't have. The baby would most likely grow up and go to college and become a huge liberal. The less liberals the better..

No, there could have been any number of mutants out there, and they bested the whole family in minutes... and they had walkie talkies and were talking *beep* like "gone to finish them off", and after seeing the *beep* crater full of cars, *beep* going after that baby no way we out

I would have gone back even if the wasn´t mine.

They'd stand a better chance getting that baby back by walking to civilization and finding police, it only worked for him because they randomly locked him in a chest filled with body parts and assumed he wouldn't break out and kill them all

I loved the character who did that (his name escapes me this moment). His heroism partly made that movie for me.

I've ordered a copy on Blu-Ray. Can't wait to watch this again.
