Where is the baron

i dont get it. I know that this movie has nothing to do with history. Like geography americans dont much about history either. But witch one was The Red Baron, cuz in reality there was only one red german plane ( The Baron) Who's was the best ace of WWI and never lost an air battle. He was shot by autralian soldiers from the ground. So my question is - Is The Red Baron in this movie or not, o got confused.

I recall reading about Baron Von Richtofen's exploits against the R.F.C. (British), with little or no mention about flying against the French. The last movie that had a mix of "reel" biplanes was "The Blue Max," which featured Tiger Moth-type aircraft on both sides. Also, when you see one too many "reel" Fokker DR.1 triplanes, imagine a Pfalz, Albatros D-3 or Fokker D-7, instead. As for the close combat end of the Black Falcon, it underscores the total war/use any ruse or trick to take out the enemy. (Not to mention harking back to how aerial combat started when pilots took pistols and rifles to deal with the enemy.)

The last one was more likely to have been `Aces High` which was made about a decade or so after `The Blue Max` though it did recycle some footage from the older film.

The supposed event that led to von Richthoven's death by ground fire was an earlier incident where he did suffer a serious head wound in air-to-air combat. He survived and eventually returned to action, but he was never the same. He would often become disoriented and confused while flying, making himself more vulnerable. Ground observers reported seeing his Fokker triplane flying low and slow, straight and level (target fixation problem?) when he was shot down. He apparently suffered a chest wound from a .303-caliber bullet fired from long range. There is no doubt that the fatal shot came from the ground.
