I agree. I was impressed. The guy doing Red Barber however was off. He was more expressive and more fun to listen to than the movie showed. Then Vin Scully came along and showed all other announcers how it should be done.

Thought it was his best performance of his career. Simply awesome

Frankly autocorrect, I'm getting a little tired of your shirt

Past his prime, he's lost it. :(

This is a man who featured in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull .
If anything, he has regained all the respect I had lost for him with this amazing performance.

He was great! :)

Man is a military animal, glories in gunpowder, and loves parade.

I saw this movie at the theater. I didn't even know that Harrison Ford was starring in it. I was watching it and thinking to myself "this guy looks so much like Harrison Ford". I seriously had to check IMDb when I got home to see if it was him for sure or not. He did an amazing job.

If they'd released (or at least re-released) this film in October to capitalize on MLB playoffs, this might have been fresh enough in people's minds to have gotten him more awards attention.

I completely agree. He still has the command and is very much into his character. It was a delight watching this film.
