How did Amy know the manager was in on it?
When theyre in the hotel room Amy says to her husband: "He was never going to help us, hes apart of this". How would she possibly know he was in on it right from the beginning?

shareI thought she knew because of the videos they heard him watching.
"Peace and love"
he coulda just been watching horror movies though
shareI haven't seen this in a long while, but I don't think her saying that was any indication that she knew it for a fact. I think that was just her assumption, especially after hearing him listen to screaming videos in the office.
shareThis is something that bothered me about the screaming in the back room at the reception. I mean you can tell if something is a movie or not. Especially with screaming. Can you think of a single movie that has the victims screaming their lungs out for minutes on end? Practically all horror movies might have screams here and there, like singular screams. Not frantic panicking out-of-your-breath *beep* screaming for your life for 5 minutes straight.
That screaming from the back room was definitely no horror movie and most people would know I'm sure.
Maybe they thought he was watching porn with lots of screaming?
shareWolf Creek. The screaming exhausted me.
~ I hardly looked at his face. His knees were what I wished to see. ~
Honestly, I had a feeling that we were watching (for once) two intelligent people who can figure things out on their own. One of the nice things about the movie.

Exactly. It was nice to see some smart people in a horror film.
shareI just watched it and pretty sure she wasn't stating it as a fact but the movie does not present the motel manager as a stand up and sane guy from the beginning. He is kind of creepy from the get go. Plus if you know snuff films are being made in this out in nowhere motel, it is probably safe to assume he is probably in on whatever is going on.
Amy said that the manager put them in that room. Since, he put them in that room, it could be taken that the manager was in on it.
shareYeah, I mean I don't think you could be a manager of a hotel in a quiet place and not know that guys were coming into the motel rooms and killing all the guests, especially with all the noise of the people being killed.
shareBecause she took noticed that he had been acting strange since the beginning.
shareBecause she took noticed that he had been acting strange since the beginningIt's not rocket science. He's just about the only one working there and there are snuff films left around the place. If it were me, I'd have similar suspicions. share
Because the other option would be he's somehow completely unaware of the fact that people are being murdered feet away from his office...it wasn't the least bit of a leap. That's like asking "how did she know 911 would connect her to emergency services?"
When you're 17 a cow can seem dangerous and forbidden...am I alone here?
1) Because its highly unlikely he didn't notice hundreds of snuff films being made 50m from his office
2) They walked in on him listening to a freakin' snuff film!
Jesus...
Because she was smart. She figured it out straight away like most viewers would have done. It would have been a huge face palm moment if she had run into his office for help at some point and been shocked to find the creepy motel manager was in on the snuff movies being made in the room he basically forced them into and most likely maintains on a daily basis.
sharewait............ they see snuff films video tapes in their bedroom, just conveniently left in there, videos of people BEING murdered in that VERY room, and the hotel manager runs the place, and the hotel manager was also conveniently watching murder scene 'film' and you don't think she made a logical connection? pleaseeeeee
If i go crazy will you still call me Superman?
Dude it doesn't take a genius to figure out the Manager was in on it...They found 2-3 snuff films in the room of people being murdered in the room...The manager seemed off when they met him and was watching something with intense screaming when they walked into the lobby...
