That is a pretty good point. I would also like to see an movie about Martin Luther King played by an Asian teenager, that would be interesting to watch, its starting to get racist that only black dudes are being given that role over and over again

shareLong before "comic books" came to mean only superhero or MC/DC comic books, there were loads of different kinds. I had loads of different kinds and collected them, as all kids did -- boys and girls.
shareYou of course are right that there were indeed a series of comics aimed at girls. Problem is that they were written by men who THOUGHT they knew what girls wanted.

shareWell I don’t watch superhero movies but I did go to comic book shops frequently when I was young. Those places were full of young males which leads me to believe that group was the major consumer. Maybe the creators knew young males wanted to see male hero’s to relate to.

Yep. The comics were also created by and written by males. WW was also created by men but as mentioned her sexuality was something different. Never saw a female in a comic book store growing up unless it was a mother or older sister and even that was very rare.
