Is it just me, or is EVERYONE force feeding wonder woman right now?
It was ok, but the reviews I've read seem to be unanimous praise from even the most unexpected sources
shareIt was ok, but the reviews I've read seem to be unanimous praise from even the most unexpected sources
shareCritics were paid off. Sad but true.
shareI'm not disagreeing with you but I suspect gender politics play a larger role in this
shareThe critics and regular moviegoers agree on Rotten Tomatoes. Both groups give it a 92%. I have more faith in the publics' reviews than critics.
shareIt was a bad movie, something that can be easily proven.
shareMy coworker said it was just OK. Too much green screen for me in the trailers which makes the movie look too fake which is why I haven't seen it yet. I may have to see it now just to find out what all the ruckus is about.
shareIt's terrible, lots of huge plot holes, SJW crap and contrived, illogical action scenes.
shareIt appears it may be getting good word of mouth since it held up well in its second week so I'm confused. Curiosity has won out. I'll see it tomorrow even though I originally planned to wait for the DVD release. I expect to be annoyed, bored or pleasantly surprised.
shareI was going to walk out. A lot of reviewers on the IMDB and reddit think it's overrated as well.
shareI just saw it. Verdict: Pleasantly surprised.
Also found it intense, both funny and sad. Gadot and Pine were perfect choices. I enjoyed their characters, the island scenes, mythology, message and fight scenes.
Also liked that they took the time to introduce the characters and story and not rush from one endless fight scene to the next.
Not a perfect movie by far. I agree that some of the plot felt contrived (and confusing) and the bad guys could have been more interesting. Glossed over the supporting characters. A few clichéd lines had me wince. Last fight scene was very over-the-top and I hated the special effects for it.
Ironically, I hated the first trailer and wasn't going to watch the movie because of it. Now, I plan to see it again and may buy the DVD. Overall 8.5/10
Now I'm starting to wonder if you're another shill playing the long game on me. Sigh.
shareI'm really not. That was my honest critique of the movie.
Horrible films for me were Batman and Robin, Prometheus and the unwatchable Suicide Squad.
Since seeing the movie, I can read reviews. Every review I read so far has had problems with the last third of the film and the villains. I agree. I wouldn't mind if they fixed it and call it a Director's Cut when the DVD is released. They're not going to do it, but I can wish, anyway.
I'm shocked that you didn't like Gadot in the role.
She's an awful actress.
Yeah, definitely confirmed, you're a monkey that can't trust their own judgment. Very disappointed. Keep trying to ape whatever the critics say in the reviews, real great way to approach life.
I wrote my impression of the movie as soon as I returned home before reading any reviews. I prefer being spoiler-free so I was only aware of star/numerical ratings, box office amount and my coworkers opinion.
I normally read reviews AFTER I see a movie which I finally did. I don't know if anyone thinks this movie is perfect.
I assume you're not planning to see any future Justice League movies since Gadot is going to be in them.
Saw this one because the trailer was pretty solid, but upon getting into the theater, realized it was awful.
They need a hard reboot. Seriously.
$500 million and growing therefore no reboot and plenty of standalone sequels for more money.
You're going to be haunted big time next Halloween with all the little girls dressed as Wonder Woman.
Reaction to this on home video will be bad, trust me. The backlash will be huge once people rewatch it and realize how stupid it was.

There were four negative metacritic reviews of GirlyGhostBusters. There were sent to the Death Camp of Tolerance and no one will ever give a female production a poor review now.
shareI watched an interview where dan ackroyd took a big dump on it and director Paul feig. But he thinks they had some brillant movie under all the B.S. Yeah, idk about that

It was a terrific, faithful origin story for a classic character with relatable characters, great villains and a fully-developed and convincing romance. While it wasn't a special-effects or action extravaganza, it excelled at all of the fundamental aspects of storytelling that you would expect a good critic to care about. Much harder to justify the good reviews for Girlbusters, Mary Sue Awakens, or so many POS Marvel movies like Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Age of Ultron, etc.
shareConservatives and liberals alike agree on liking this movie. Liberals would've given it good reviews even if they didn't like it because feminism. But I've been on very conservative forums whose members also think the movie is great. It's old-fashioned storytelling without any ugly things like blood or political references. It has Wonder Woman learning about both the dark and light side of humankind, which appeals to both conservative hawks who believe killing evildoers will save the world and bleeding heart liberals who believe love will save the world. The only slight backlash it's getting is from the VERY extreme right who won't even see it because they hate Hollywood and assume it will offend them and the VERY extreme left who thought it should've been a total man-bashing fest. But there's a huge middle ground across the political spectrum that loves the movie.
shareOf course, it fits perfectly with the left wing feminist agenda the media and critics are pushing.......all while kissing muzzie ass. They shop at Contradictions R Us
shareWats a muzzie?
shareYes and being a good comic book movie has nothing to do with it at all. It's all because of prrrropaganda.
And I fail to see what's feminist about this film. Having a strong female lead isn't really "feminism".
There were a few aspects of the story I liked but I didn't think it was a particularly great film. But I'm not in general a fan of movies with extreme action scenes.
shareMike, do you have hemmorhoids? My aunt sue had them before she died and she didn't like action movies either. Get it checked out Mike, I wouldn't want you to die of bowel cancer
shareBear in mind that all the critics who reviewed this movie had also been forced to sit through every minute of "Man of Steel", "Batman vs. Superman", and "Suicide Squad". Its a good movie, but compare it to those messes and it looks like the greatest movie ever made!
Of course, a grade schooler's iphone film about his hamster can look like "Citizen Kane" compared to the previous DC Franchise movies.
I agree, it's the latest phenomenon, lynch mob and sheeple thinking are at an ultimate high right now.
