Diana's aging process

I'm assuming that Amazons age at a much, much slower rate than normal humans. I do wonder how or why Diana is pretty much stuck as the same age (at least physically) in the "present" scenes (and in "Batman v. Superman" prior to that), as she was in World War I time. I know that this is kind of stupid question (I'll admit that I only have a passing knowledge of the Wonder Woman mythos), but to Amazons magically "stop" aging once they become adults? In other words, they can never really become "elderly".

I know that on the old Wonder Woman TV series w/ Lynda Carter, the first season that aired on ABC took place during World War II while the second and third seasons on CBS aired during the "present". And yet, Diana never aged and they wrote around still having Lyle Waggoner around by explaining that he was Steve Trevor's son, Steve Jr.

Her mum, Hippolyta, looked quite a lot older than she did. The actress is twenty years older.

Having only seen the film and knowing nothing about the comic I'd say it's fair to say Amazons age normally, but Diana is a demigoddess, or maybe an actual goddess by the end of the film, so she doesn't suffer any ill effects from age.

Actually, they had a weird set up. She was the only child on the island and we got the impression that Hippolyta had been around for a long time. Maybe they age incredibly slowly? One Amazon year is a hundred or more human years? That would account for her looking the same after a hundred years, if it's only one year to her.

This is neither here not there but Diana is a demi-goddess throughout the film. There is nothing that can make you a full Goddess. You're born of a God/Goddess and a human, you're a demi-god(ess) for the rest of your days.

And yeah the age setup was kinda bad. Even if they did age incredibly slowly, that wouldn't quite explain why it seems she is just finally finishing her training during WWI when she is presumable thousands of years old already... Aging slow is one thing but maturity of body and maturity of mind are two different things and she should be already well trained at this point.

Considering her origin story, it makes no sense she's even seen as a child in the movie but regardless, yes I imagine they age slowly, supeeeeeeeeer slowly in fact since Zeus is supposed to have created her just before dying way way back when the world was young and cut to... WWI and she's only now finishing her training lol
