There were many other choices that would have suited the role better and then they wouldn't had to make Wonder Woman a supporting actress to Chris Pine.

Ouch

Gal Gadot was terribly uneven in this. She nailed some scenes, but in some others she acted like she was drugged or under influence of something numbing. The difference was noticeable.

I can say the same about her face. I think she might have one of those faces that change with lighting. In most of the scenes she looked beautiful, but in some scenes she looked like a hamster.

Thanks for all of your replies, everybody. Regardless of what I posted with my original thread, I can safely say that I very much enjoyed this film when I saw it last week. I went in thinking that it would be a repeat of the original "Batman vs. Superman" film (I'm referring to the theatre version over the "extended version" which you can get on Blu-Ray) but was pleasantly surprised in the direction of which this film was taken. There was plenty of action and the story itself kept me engaged and interested throughout the entire film. To top it all off, Gadot's performance, along with Pine, were pretty good too. On that note, it does not appear that DC is interested in a sequel at this time, but based off how much money they made, it would make more sense to me to at least try for one more film.

What sort of accent would an ancient Amazon woman have when speaking modern English, and how would it differ from an Israeli accent?

I know you have replied and changed your mind, but actually regardless of how she is as an actress, she did look near perfect for the role. They even enhanced her apparent breasts size. First of all, she is relatively tall and she does look imposing compared with some of the other people in the movie. She didn't look like a thin stick like it seemed like she looked before. Her arms are a bit thin, but she has superpowers, so what difference does her arm muscle make anyway?

I found that the movie did have some problems, but Gal Gadot fit her character very well.

She doesn't seem all that miscast from the role. I thought Gadot did fine with her performance.

There will be a sequel for Wonder Woman on the way too.

One of the problems for these new DC comic incarnations is that for anyone of generation x or older, we remember back to the late 1970s at how brilliant and charismatic Linda Carter was as Wonder Woman. Just like we remember how brilliant and charismatic Christopher Reeve was as Superman at the same time. So much so that they both cast massive shadows over the roles from which these later actors playing the roles have struggled to emerge.

Total miscast.
A reminder Jessica Biel worked out for Blade Trinity,a woman working doesn't mean she won't look feminine or will look like shes on steroids. its funny when a woman works out ignorant people think we expect her to look like Chnya(RIP)

I remember these shallow complains when her casting was announced, Y'all look like idiots now. She IS WW.
