Some people will never be happy. For years they've been saying "Where's the Wonder Woman movie? Wonder Woman is a feminist icon" and now that they get it, they decide to be angry about something trivial.
shareI haven't heard anything about the armpit hair and that is absolutely ridiculous but she is not a very good actress and doesn't have a very commanding presence. Though I think she's gorgeous, IMO, she's badly miscast in this role.
About her supporting Israel, it is upsetting that a character that is a feminist icon and a role model to many is portrayed by someone who supports an apartheid state.
She has a commanding presence in this film and she does a great job in it.
First, despite the propaganda you may hear, Israel IS NOT an apartheid state. Arabs, Christians and Druze have the same rights as Jew in Israel. they even serve in their Parliment. That phrase is usually thrown around to refer to Gaza and the West Bank which are NOT part of Israel. They are "occupied" because Arab countries attacked Israel in 1967 and were defeated, and thus occupied by Israel. Israel pulled out of Gaza unilaterally in 2005. Look these things up before spouting propaganda and lies.
Second, a feminist would always support Israel because Israel has equal rights for women, unlike every other country in the middle east including the Palestinian Territories where woman are abused physically and more everyday.
I've never heard that--it must have been some silly trolls who started that nonsense. There are very practical reasons to shave your armpit hair---the main one being that during summer is too much hair under there carries a lot of sweat and smells, so it's got to go,plain and simple.
