Anyone else think this is the greatest horror film of the past 10 years?

Yesterday I posted a video blog on Youtube where I counted down the Top Ten Greatest Horror Movies of the Past Ten Years, and I had this at #1.

Does anyone else agree with me?

I agree. This movie was the scariest I've seen in a while. I watch tons of horror movies, and this one is up there. Probably just a coincidence, 1 hour, 14 minutes and 8 seconds into the film, while Mike is talking to his wife on the computer. She says "They're in 1408, the rooms empty". Creepy.

Spooky. I dig it when movies get all psychological. Way better than any slasher film of the eighties.

There are very few really good horror movies in general. This one is probably number 4 only list after The Shining, Insidious and The Conjuring. I was really surprised at how good it was.

A Tale of Two Sisters, then Kairo.

It was definitely one of the most effective scary movies I've seen in a long time.

This was one of the scariest newer "horror" movies I've seen. Others that belong to the list have been The Ring (remake), Sixth Sense, and possibly The Others. And all these were rated pg-13. Goes to show you that you don't need to fill a movie with tons of gore and sex to be exciting.

Son, you got a panty on your head.

This was a truly awful movie. But for people who like being scared and horrified, maybe it's a good one. Not for me, however.

it wasn't just horror, it's sad and deep, beyond your kind.
