Good movie but dumb and full of holes.

Fx, and this is actually explained in Captain America.

If you have the ability to regenerate, the metabolism would regenerate too, making it unnecessary for you to eat, and here comes the important part.

It would become impossible to become drunk or receive any kind of intoxication, because there would be no substance that would be able to produce that feeling in a constantly regenerating body.

i know so little about captain america, but he's basically human, hancock is not.

i mostly will not be able to answer your reply, since marissa mayer hacked my email, no notification

Being an Immortal probably does allow you regenerate limbs, heal quickly and be immune to things that would otherwise kill us, but that doesn't mean they couldn't want it to happen.

For example. I'm immortal and I want to drink, because I see mortals drinking and using drugs to experience a minor exit from reality.

Although such things are actually ineffective to me, my mind allows me to believe such a thing is happening. So in a sense, I get "drunk", puke and pass out. Although physically there is nothing affecting me.

Also I wouldn't necessarily compare Captain American and say, Wolverine, with the physiology of Immortal like beings.

Actually, Cap can get drunk. It just takes a lot and it has to be heavy with alcohol.

I just saw this movie.
The obvious blatant plot hole is this:
If the two superbeings get together they lose their powers. How do they fight? How does Hancock not die in the final fight? At one time just being near each other can cause bruising the next time nothing.

I periodically misspell words just to annoy the word police.

When Mary was in the hospital explaining about the power loss situation to Hancock, she said that they had never lost their powers so quickly before.

So, over the thousands of years they had lived and been in similar situations, it must have taken weeks or maybe even months before they started to become mortal.

Mary was surprised when it happened so quickly to him, and he got wounded by bullets after being around her for just a few days...

That's my complaint about many fantasy/sci-fi/superhero movies. Once they make a statement about how a power works, then stick with it! Don't decide to change it to fit the story line. That's just sloppy writing.
